Bluejacket Family Communication
May 16, 2024
Dear Bluejacket Families
In recent weeks, we've had the privilege of recognizing and honoring various teams of professionals:
We recognized our office staff on Administrative Professionals Day for their dedication to keeping our schools running smoothly and creating a warm, supportive environment for all.
On May 1, we celebrated School Principal’s Day, acknowledging the visionary leaders who inspire growth and innovation among our teachers and create an environment where every student can thrive.
During National Physical Education Week, we cheered on the teachers and coaches who promote physical activity and teamwork, instilling confidence and joy in our students.
On School Lunch Hero Day, we expressed gratitude to our Food Service staff who ensure our students receive nutritious meals with care and creativity.
Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10) was a special time to honor our educators who lead with empathy, kindness, and love, shaping engaging lessons and supporting every student, every day.
On May 8, we thanked our School Nurses, trusted advocates for student health and wellness, who provide expert medical care with compassion.
While these days spotlight specific roles, every staff member plays a vital role in fostering a supportive school community where students feel safe, seen, and empowered to thrive.
We want to recognize that it's Mental Health Awareness Month. During this time, we shine a spotlight on the work being done to support the well-being of students and staff, aligning with our strategic priority of partnering with families and our community to improve the mental health and well-being of all students and staff. We extend our gratitude to our dedicated school social workers, counselors, and other mental health professionals who work to support the mental well-being of our students and families. Our District Mental Health Team meets monthly to implement and ensure a comprehensive school mental health system.
As we come together on Friday, June 7, to celebrate the commencement of the Class of 2024, let's cheer on these remarkable students. They've shown such courage and determination in the face of challenges. Let's look forward to seeing them embrace new adventures, chase their dreams, and make a real difference in the world!
