Meet the Inspiration Mountain Knights Kindergarten Team!
Click Kindergarten Assessment Sign Up to select a date and time to meet and work one on one with an Inspiration Mountain School teacher. This assessment will help give us an idea of your child's current learning level.
We are excited to be a part of your child’s educational experience. We look forward to working with you and your child as partners in education to make this school year an exciting and educationally rewarding experience. Kindergarten is a time of social, physical, emotional and, of course, academic growth. This year your child will become a reader, writer, mathematician and problem solver. Our Kindergarten Team has high expectations for your child this year!
A huge focus for us is doing hands-on projects, because we know that’s how kids learn best and how they will make amazing kindergarten memories. One of their first hands-on projects will be making applesauce at the end of their apple unit in the fall. Then, they will love using their imagination to build their own gingerbread house. One of the most exciting projects this year will be hatching baby chicks! Each classroom will have their own batch of eggs to observe. Finally, as they learn all about plant lifecycles and needs, they will get the opportunity to plant a garden filled with beautiful flowers and veggies they will be able to eat. The kindergarten class will also go on several field trips this year. Don’t worry, you won’t miss out! We love having volunteers to help with all of our fun projects!
Immunization Requirements
The State of Arizona has revised the immunization requirements for preschool, kindergarten and first grade children entering school for childcare. Children entering Preschool will need Hepatitis A immunizations (there are two needed) and 3-4 Hib vaccines. Children turning 11 years old, regardless of grade, will need to have a Tdap and Meningitis Vaccine.

The ABC's of Kindergarten
Sight Words
What are sight words for kindergarten?
Kindergarten sight words are words that a child learns to recognize in their whole form, rather than sounding them out. These words usually appear frequently in texts or are difficult to decode.
