Why Attendance Matters

Longmont High School believes that good attendance is critical to academic success and to a successful high school experience. When a student misses a class, they miss a learning opportunity, which cannot be recaptured. Educational research indicates that a significant part of the student's experience is derived from classroom relationships, activities, discussions, and participation. Regular attendance is of utmost importance for school interest, social adjustment and academic achievement, particularly for closing the achievement gap.

Homecoming & Attendance Update

Any students who are planning on attending Homecoming on Saturday, October 19th will be allowed to have no more than 5 days of unexcused absences (4 period absences equals 1 day) and/or 25 tardies beginning August 19, 2024 in the 9 weeks leading up to Homecoming. Reminder, absences must be excused within 48 hours of the absence.

Photo Retake Day - Thursday, September 26th

This year one free breakfast & one free lunch per student, will be provided daily.

These annual open forums in each of our geographic areas provide an opportunity for Dr. Haddad and other district leaders to listen to our community's questions and suggestions, share our many successes, and discuss our bold vision for the future.
