ROCKStar Behavior

Congratulations to February's ROCKStars! These students have been recognized for being Responsible & Respectful , Organized, Cooperative, Kind, and Safe throughout the month. In addition to being recognized here, students received an invitation to a pizza party, and a ROCKS AWARD Certificate to commemorate the event.

We'd also like to congratulate Mrs. Delicato's ' kindergarten, and Ms. Danaj's 5th-grade classes. They earned the most Classroom ROCKS tickets last month and will receive a cool treat and a reward to display in their classroom. Mrs. Lombardo's 6th-grade class also won the Golden Trash Can Award for the cleanest room. Keep up the outta this world behavior, Comets!

Happy Social Worker Week

Last week was National Social Worker Week. At Twain we have an incredible school social worker. Her name is Mrs. Sarah Rinna. Mrs. Rinna serves as a bridge between school, home and community resources. She provides mental health support and counseling for those in need and oversees our Peer to Peer Program. She assists when students are in crisis and develops plans to helps address our students' social and emotional needs. She is a true ROCKSTAR and we are thankful to have her at Twain.

MTPC Skating Party

The MTPC will be hosting a skating party on Monday, March 10th at the Great Skate from 6:00-8:00 PM.

$6 admission with skates included; $5 extra for inline skates

STUDENTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT

Twain Parking Lot Reminders

The North lot is NOT a drop-off/ pick-up zone. It is for parking only. We MUST keep the loop open for busses and emergency vehicles. This rule applies to everyone, so please be cooperative and follow it.
The large, central lot has two lanes: a drop-off/ pick-up lane on the outside of the loop and a driving lane on the inside.
Please note: Drivers MAY NOT get out of your car while in the outside drop-off/ pick-up lane. Your students must exit to the outside of the loop, and drivers must not exit the car to walk students up or pick them up. If you have younger children who need to be walked up or picked up at the door, you MUST park your car in one of the lots or on the street.
Smoking and pets are not permitted on school grounds. Please leave your pets at home for the safety and comfort of all of our students and families.
Please do NOT swear on school grounds. We are trying to set a positive example for behavior for our Twain Comets, and shouting and swearing at other drivers does not set the right example for our kids. We ask our students to be respectful, organized, cooperative, kind, and safe, and we expect those behaviors to be modeled by our parents, too.

Last Wednesday the Mark Twain Parent Club hosted Candy Bingo Night. Over 100 of our Comets and family members participate in the fun-filled event. We truly appreciate the MTPC for continuing to plan exciting events for our families.
