St. Petronille Catholic School
A Note from Mr. Schmidt
St. Petronille Families,
I write this message with gratitude to our 8th grade class after they led a beautiful and moving Living Stations of the Cross prayer service for our students this afternoon. They truly demonstrated their growth and leadership, and the heart of our school's Catholic identity in leading us to encounter Christ and His sacrifice during this Lenten season. I have deep appreciation for their hard work in faithfully acting out all of the stations as well as creating beautiful artwork for each one. Special thanks as well to Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Onesti for their efforts to prepare their students so well.
As we approach the end of the year, we are in our final month of our CHARGERS Traits program! This year we have encouraged students to be Christlike, Humble, Ambitious, Respectful, Generous, Earnest, and Responsible. Our trait for the month of April, which ties in so well with our recognition of Lent, is to promote our students being Selfless. It is a great reminder that we can imitate Christ by giving of ourselves for others. Thank you for your support of the program throughout the year and for encouraging your child to be Selfless this month!
We can't wait for another great (but short) week ahead next week! I pray for a safe and exhilarating trip to Washington DC for our 8th grade students! Please reach out with questions or ways I can be a better support!
