Note From Principal Graham
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Red Ribbon Week. The dress up days were fun and we promoted students living a healthy life. Please check out the pictures below of the fun we had this week.
Fall Festival is tonight from 5-7 PM. We hope you can make it tonight for fun, games, food, and treats. Don't forget to bring a bag for the trunk or treat. Thank you to the PTO for organizing this fun family event.
FALL FESTIVAL TONIGHT!
Congratulations Keats Kabani and Elizabeth Voravudhi
We congratulate our very own Keats Kabani (4th Grade) and Elizabeth Voravudhi (5th Grade) for receiving the maximum obtainable raw score on the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY) test. This is a statewide assessment taken in grades 3-8 each year. We are so very proud of Keats and Elizabeth and they were honored this week at the Lexington District One School Board Meeting.

Learning Other Cultures
Oak Grove’s Heritage committee is recognizing Indian culture during the last half of October. To celebrate Ms. Fanning and Ms. Patel's Kindergarten class had a great time learning all about different aspects of Indian culture from Mrs. Patel! They learned about the different types of Indian food, art, entertainment, symbols, and other meaningful aspects of their life. They also made different types of Rangoli art using watercolor paint, markers, sand, and chalk.
Boo! Ms. Bartolotti's first graders paired up with their big buddies in Ms. Fox's fifth grade class to listen to a story and work together to create ghosts!
