Each November, we proudly celebrate National Native American Heritage Month—a dedicated time to honor and uplift the rich traditions, languages, and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities. This month is an opportunity to reflect on the invaluable contributions of these remarkable cultures and to recognize their enduring impact on our society.
Throughout Native American Heritage Month and beyond, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and heritage of these communities, whose histories and legacies continue to shape and strengthen our nation. Let’s come together to honor their stories and ensure that each generation carries forward their vibrant traditions.
Honoring Those Who Served on Veterans Day

Latina Legacy Conference
The Latina Legacy Conference kicked off with an incredibly inspiring keynote address by the remarkable Maria Salmeron Melendez, who shared her powerful journey as a Latina newcomer. Her story of resilience, triumph over challenges, and commitment to success set the tone for a truly impactful event.
Our students had the chance to dive into enlightening panel sessions on topics such as navigating higher education and career pathways, youth activism, personal well-being, positive affirmations, and discovering their own inner strength. The day also featured hands-on workshops covering dual enrollment, college preparation, financial literacy, bridging communities, amplifying the Latina voice, and embracing the power of Latina sisterhood. Our engaged Blue Devils eagerly participated, asking thought-provoking questions and igniting an interest in becoming future Latina entrepreneurs and leaders, as seen in the vibrant photos.
A huge shout-out to Ms. Mytra Molina, Springbrook Counselor, for her incredible effort in organizing the event, bringing together the girls, and inviting her sister and friends—successful business owners and tech professionals—to share their career insights and inspire the next generation of Latina leaders. Thank you, Ms. Molina, for creating such a transformative experience for our students and inspiring them to reach new heights!
