Good luck to Judy and Jerry. We will miss you both!

New 5th grade teacher hired-Ms. Gail Rothenbueler
I am happy to be joining the Sacred Heart School staff as a 5th grade teacher. I came out of retirement to rejoin the teaching community as a long-term substitute teacher at Sacred Heart this last school year. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the 2nd graders and other staff members so it was without hesitation that I accepted the 5th grade position for next school year when it was offered to me.
I attended Catholic grade school through 8th grade in Watertown, Wisconsin and am thrilled to return to the loving, blessed gift of Catholic education. I received a bachelor's degree in education from UW-Milwaukee and a master's degree from Edgewood College in Madison , Wisconsin, as well as certification in Educational Administration.
I am a widow, parent of 4 children and grandmother of 10 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing BINGO, doing crafts, and going to thrift stores and garage sales. I live in a 55+ apartment in New Hope and am a practicing Catholic and a member of St. Joseph the Worker in Maple Grove.
New 3 year old PreK Teacher Hired--Mrs. Joni Walker
I am very excited to be back! I volunteered and worked here when my kids attended school at Sacred Heart. Our Sacred Heart village remains great friends. I held many hats as a paraprofessional, preschool teacher and art teacher while at Sacred Heart. I have over 15 years of experience with preschoolers and we have fun! I also have experience in mental health and occupational therapy. My husband and I live in Plymouth. We have 2 children in their 20’s. Our daughter recently got her doctorate in physical therapy and my son just graduated from St. Thomas with a music business degree. In our free time: we enjoy visiting with family, attending MN Wild games, traveling, camping, canoeing and listening to our son play lead guitar in several bands for the local Minneapolis music scene. I am looking forward to meeting all the new families and kids at Sacred Heart.
2024-2025 Yearbooks still available
The yearbooks have arrived. They are on sale for $20. We ordered 125 books so first come, first serve. Simply have your child drop off a check or cash in the school office and we will have a yearbook ready.
FUN FEST URGENT PLEA FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The Fun Fest Committee is looking for the following committee chairs for this year’s Fun Fest on September 14, 2024:
- Bingo – Looking to make bingo bigger and better – Do you love to play bingo and have some good ideas for growing this FUN part of FUN FEST? If so, WE WANT YOU!
- Beer Tent – This is already a well-organized committee. Last year’s chair will not be returning for this year’s Fun Fest, but will be happy to share all of his notes to make this a smooth transition.
- Marketing/Publicity – While the Parish Office provides much support in this area, we would love someone with great ideas to improve the marketing of this community event.
Fun Fest is the one major Sacred Heart community fundraiser of the year. It is a great way to kick-off Fall and gather with friends and families of Sacred Heart as well as other members of the Robbinsdale Community. If you are willing to share some of your time and talent in the above areas or any other parts of the Fun Fest Committee, please come to a meeting on Wednesday, June 5th at 7:00pm in the Activities Building Marian Rooms OR contact Mary Daugherty at 763-285-6241/mdaugherty@shrmn.org. Athletic News-Coaches Needed 2024-2025
Attention Parents, Grandparents and former Coaches!
Sacred Heart is in need of coaches for girls basketball, softball and baseball.
Positions are volunteer and can be used towards your family volunteer hours. Not to mention forming long, lasting relationships with Sacred Heart parents and students!
The girls’ basketball season runs from the beginning of January into the 2nd week of March.
Softball and baseball run concurrently from the beginning of April until the end of May.
Grades 5-8 can participate so this is an excellent opportunity for someone with a child in those grades to be responsible for building their athletic confidence!

Need help paying for tuition?
MN Fundraising Initiative (MNFI) secures contracts with over 23 venues in the greater Twin Cities area including Target Field, Target Center, Canterbury, and US Bank to operate food and beverage concessions stands at their events.
MNFI organizes teams of volunteers from all over the state of MN and WI who work together to run these stands. In turn, MNFI receives donations from these venues. The donations are then used to award grants to families in local communities to allow youth to attend private school, such as Sacred Heart Catholic School and participate in enrichment activities they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. Checks are mailed directly to Sacred Heart in your name.
Many of our school families use this organization to help pay for tuition.
Click on the website and create an account by clicking on the “Volunteer registration”.
