SHARK SHOUTOUTS
Throughout this year, Spanish students prepared various murals to celebrate Latin and Hispanic culture within the school. We celebrated Hispanic History Month, Black History Month, Spanish International Language Day, and other projects. This week, we created the mural "Un verano en Cabo Bacalao" (A Summer in Cape Cod) in which the Spanish IV Honors students designed posters in Spanish about activities and information on the different towns of the Cape. All these projects were possible thanks to Miss Wheaton. She has always been there facilitating and supporting the preparation of the posters. Miss Wheaton has shown incredible patience and has been a key part of the mural creation process. Thank you Sarah for your UNWAVERING support this year. -Profe Berbeo
MRHS Library News
Even though we are ending our school year next week, students have several opportunities to find eBooks, newspapers, magazines, comics, and digital audiobooks this summer using resources they have learned about this year.
Our access to the thousands of eBooks and audiobooks in the Commonwealth eBook Collection is always available through Sora. We also have access to a few hundred eBooks and audiobooks through MackinVia. Both resources use student school email and password to log in.
Additionally, with a Boston Public Library eCard, Massachusetts residents have access to thousands of digital titles. For more information, visit the Boston Public Library Resources Page on our library website.
Last, but certainly not least, our public libraries have a great selection of books and are offering programs geared toward teens.
Have a great summer filled with lots of reading!

Special recognition goes out to Thomas and Joseph for their participation and for representing Monomoy among many of the developing young leaders of the world.

In addition, Junior- Chace Robbins, a delegate at last year’s MassStar conference, returned for another year, serving as a program ambassador. Chase has made some close friends through his MassSTAR experience and has epitomized “giving back” as demonstrated by his volunteerism at the recent conference. Go Chace!
Joseph and Thomas shared similar reflections on their respective seminars.Joey stated “I learned a lot about citizenship and what actually defines a citizen and how we can all make an impact on our own communities back home. I am very glad I decided to accept the invitation because I made so many memories and friends that I will remember for the rest of my life”. Thomas shared that “This experience is something that has changed my perspective on leadership forever. Being able to be surrounded by like-minded people who wanted to make change in the community is awesome, and I am very appreciative for the time I spent at this seminar. I definitely recommend getting involved in the community, and help be the change you want to see in the world.” Chase, Thomas and Joseph are impressive young men to say the least!
