Hello CCE Families,
A BIG thank you to Westwood Lead Counselor, Holly Browning for taking the time to meet with some of our 5th grade students about College and Career Readiness. Mrs. Hougham arranged for Mrs. Browning to come and meet with a group of 5th grade students interested in learning more about post secondary options and career readiness. Mrs. Browning shared lots of valuable information and our students had great questions and even got some college swag from Mrs. Browning! Thank you, Holly and Westwood High School!
Thank you to all our parent volunteers today! All our grade levels had a great Valentine’s Day party. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day celebrating this fun holiday with your families!

Notes From The Library
Author visit Rescheduled!
Our author Visit with Nell Cross Beckerman will now be on Thursday, February 27! Although there is no official "sale" through CCE, Nell is happy to sign books for your child. Check out this flyer for more information and which grade levels are receiving which book presentation. Any books to be signed can be brought to the library any time before Feb 27 for safe keeping :)
Central Texas Kids & Teens Comic Con on February 22, 2025!
Join us at Round Rock High School for a fun-filled day of comics, superheroes, and geeky fun! Meet artists and authors, experience workshops like how to draw your own comics, and connect with fellow fans. Don’t miss this epic event—grab your cape and join the excitement! Texas Keyboarding Challenge for 3rd-5th Graders
The online STAAR tests require typing skills as early as 3rd grade. In testing, the stronger a student's keyboarding skills, the more time they can devote to imporving the quality of the their response! CCE is registered to participate and all 3rd-5th student accounts have been loaded. Teachers can decide to have it as an activity during class or students can work on it on their own. Past RRISD schools have been winners of this contest! Maybe this year it could be us! Contest evaluates the number of students, words per minute, and accuracy during the window from Feb 10-March 31!
Digital Citizenship
This months lessons tie into Kindness Week/Month as we transition from January's lessons on Cyberbullying into Cyber-Kindness for February. How do we make our online space positive and happy one! These are great conversations to continue at home!
