Media Center/Readers are Leaders
READERS ARE LEADERS
For the month of May, students can earn a Brag Tag of their choice! I have never done this before, and I have so many fun and seasonal tags for them to earn. As Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Court tell us every morning, keep working and reaching for your goals, Stay Strong! Finish Strong! 3rd – 5th graders have been working towards number of points earned, and they earn numbered brag tags which if fun, too. Let me know if you have ideas for fun and exciting challenges. Here are the 2025 – 2026 SSYRA Jr. titles:
SUPERINTENDENT'S REMARKABLE READERS AWARDS
Speaking of Reaching for your Goals, thank you one and all for your amazing students who attended the Superintendent’s Remarkable Readers Awards. It was so rewarding for me to see the joy the students had for each other as their names were called and Dr. Sarah Adams, from the Superintendent’s office, and I presented their certificates. We have some good “hand shakers” here at PKS. Good Job!
As a reminder, each grade uses it's own criteria to select their remarkable readers. We are looking forward to next year being even more exciting and more readers!
I’d like to thank Sienna, Angela, and Lia for entertaining the audience. The girls played for most of the second period, during Middle School awards. Thank you.
