Mustang Memo
October 21, 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Thank you to our MOQ Home and School Association, Mustang March Chairs, and the countless volunteers for making this year’s Mustang March a great success! Special thanks to the MOQ Ladies Guild for hosting the parent coffee and to our wonderful Prairie Lane neighbors who cheered on our marchers along the route. We are blessed to have the Creighton student-athletes, Mercy cheerleaders, Skutt band and mascots Billy Blue Jay, Jr., Hoot and Mustang Sally energizing our event. The support from our parish community truly reflects our theme of "Finding God in All Things"—especially in moments of joy, celebration and service.
As we look ahead to a shortened week and Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday, we encourage you to take this time to reflect on your student’s growth. Conferences offer a chance to review first-quarter progress and set meaningful goals for the next nine weeks.
October has been a month of inspiration, as both staff and students continue to pray the Rosary. Our Houses have done a beautiful job leading us in this prayerful tradition, reminding us once more of how we can find God’s presence in our daily practices.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and for all you do to support the mission of Mary Our Queen School.
Blessings,
Maureen Hoy

Cafeteria News
Our next pizza lunch is scheduled for this Wednesday, Oct. 23. Students wanting to purchase an extra slice of pizza, must bring their money to school on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Students in grades K - 3 can only purchase 1 extra slice of pizza. Students in grades 4 – 8 can purchase up to 2 extra slices of pizza. The price of a slice of pizza is $2.00. Pizza money should be brought to school in an envelope or sandwich bag. The student’s first name, last name and grade must be written on the envelope/sandwich bag. If you have several students getting extra pizza, feel free to send the money with one student, as long as the name, grade and number of pizza slices is provided for each student. Money should be turned into the homeroom teacher.
THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered in the cafeteria. The time you donate to the lunch program is truly appreciated. There are still a few spots available in October. Feel free to start signing up HERE for November. Thank you in advance.
We are still looking to fill a part time position on the cafeteria staff. This position is being added to help in both the preschool and elementary kitchens from 11 AM to 2 PM. The number of days worked each week can be negotiated. More information about the position can be found HERE.
