Happy Labor Day weekend! It has been a great first two weeks of the school year! Having our halls filled with laughter and our classrooms with learning has been an absolute joy. We hope the first couple of weeks have been as enjoyable for your family as they have been for us!
Next week we are looking forward to our annual Curriculum Nights, which provide a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers and learn more about our daily quest to pursue the mission of our school. Our Curriculum Night for grades PK-5 is on Tuesday, September 3rd beginning at 7:00 PM and our Curriculum Night for grades 6-8 is Thursday, September 5th with Catholic high school representatives available at 6:30 PM and our program beginning at 7:00 PM. Please come and see us, meet our staff, and learn more about our plans for partnership and formation this year! See the schedules for the two nights linked below.

- Please recall that our doors open in the morning 20 minutes before the start of school. We are noticing an increasing number of students gathering outside of our Hillside entrance 5-10 minutes before we open the school. Please try to drop students off within the designated drop off times - there are no teachers assigned to be outside to supervise students prior to opening and we want to ensure that all students are safe.
- If your child rides a bike to school, please remind them that our policy is to have them dismount and walk their bike to the bike rack when they arrive on campus. This too is in the interest of student safety and we have had a couple of close calls from bikes riding quickly down our campus sidewalks.

Orders should arrive last week of September or the first week of October and will be delivered to your child's classroom for them to take home. Please remember to list your child's teacher and grade when checking out.

Cub Scout Pack 158 is located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The Pack serves the students of Ben Franklin, Churchill, and St. Petronille schools as well as other interested youth in our area. Any interested boys and girls grades K - 5 are welcome to join. Scouter-ships are available on a needs basis.
