The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

Here are a few ways to "Win the Day"

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!
• "Be Kind" - smile, say hello, look out for your fellow vikings! Remember - everyone is going through a battle we may not know.. Be Kind Always!

In order to finish strong for the 2024-2025 school year, Cerro Villa is encouraging students and staff to "Level Up" for the remainder of the year. "Leveling Up" means being better than we were in the beginning of the year. As we accumulate our "Win the Days", we are "Leveling Up"!

CV has surpassed our American Heart Challenge Goal of $2000! Thank you to numerous donations, CV has raised $3,214 (as of 2.16.25) for the American Heart Association!! This doubles the amount raised last school year! WOW!

The American Heart Challenge program kicks off on Monday and will run through February 18th! To join our school team, visit http://www2.heart.org/goto/cerrovilla . Students can raise awareness and funds for congenital heart defects, nutrition security, CPR training, mental well-being, and more as we work to end heart disease and stroke. Along the way, students will meet some of the kids they’re helping while learning about mind and body health.

CV's College and Career Speaker Day will be held on Tuesday, March 4th. Currently, many students have a well-known and insecure default password which can be guessed by other students or bad actors. Technology Services is asking parents to encourage or work with their children to set a new password. Password changes typically synchronize to dozens of applications in a few minutes. The password reset icon is in the MyOUSD Dashboard for all staff and students.
