- August 11th - Deposit Due
- September 1st- Last day to sign up for the trip
- September 11th - 2nd Payment Due
- September 16th - Roommate Requests completed during WINN or GA Studies Class
- September 24th- Roommate List Posted- changes accepted until October 1st
- October 9th- The Boys Expectations/Questions Meeting
- October 10th- The Girls Expectations/Questions Meeting
- October 11th - Final Payment Due
- October 17th- Arrive at EPMS at 7 a.m. for trip departure.

DOES YOUR CHILD NEED A SCHOLARSHIP?
If your family needs help paying for the Georgia Trip, please email your child's 8th-grade Social Studies teacher or have your child speak to their teacher to ask about securing a scholarship.

Note: Scholarships are limited based on the funds available. Scholarships will mostly be partial scholarships and based on need.

No CASH Payments will not be accepted! Please go to Walmart and purchase a Reloadable Visa DEBIT Card and use that to pay when registering. The cards that should work are pictured below:

REGISTRATION DETAILS
A Plus Tours Georgia Studies Trip Registration Details:
Elkins Pointe Middle School
Trip Inclusions:
- Transportation will be on late-model luxury, motor coach buses
- 4 Meals while traveling
- 1 Night hotel accommodations
- Evening off-duty police at the hotels
- Admissions to all listed sites
- All tips and gratuities
Payment Schedule: Trip Cost: $310
- Deposit Due: Friday, August 11th, 2024 - $110 Non-Refundable deposit per student due
- 2nd payment: Monday, September 11th, 2024 - $100
- Final Payment: Wednesday, October 11th, 2024 - $100
Final Trip Registration and Payment: Wednesday, October 11th, 2024 (Students may be added to the trip after final registration if there are available seats on the bus)
ITINERARY FOR 8TH GRADE TRIP 10/17-10/18
October 17th:
- 7:00 AM: Check in with teachers
- 7:30 AM: Buses arrive at Elkins Pointe Middle School
- 7:50 to 11:00 AM: Drive to Milledgeville, GA
- 11:00 to 12:00 PM: Buses 1 and 2: Lunch at GCSU Dining Hall
- 11:00 to 12:00 PM: Buses 3 and 4: Tour of Governor’s Mansion (a Smithsonian Affiliate Museum)
- 12:30 to 1:30 PM: Buses 1 and 2: Tour of Governor’s Mansion
- 12:30 to 1:30 PM: Buses 3 and 4: Lunch at GCSU Dining Hall
- 5:15 to 6:30 PM: Check into hotel – Fairfield Inn Savannah Midtown
- 6:30 to7:00 PM: Travel to River Street
- 7:00 to 8:30 PM: Dinner Dance aboard the Savannah River Queen or Georgia Queen Riverboat
- 9:00 PM: Return to hotel
October 18th:
- 6:45 to 8:30 AM: Breakfast at hotels
- 8:30 AM: Check out and depart for River Street
- 9:00 to 10:20 AM: Shopping along River Street
- 10:30 to 11:30 AM: Student Militia Program at Fort Jackson
- 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM: Travel to Tybee Island
- 12:15 to 1:30 PM: Picnic lunch and beach time along Tybee Island
- 1:30 to 7:00 PM: Travel home to Elkins Pointe Middle School
- 7:00 PM in the evening, pick up your child at the school.
Bus Information:
The Name of the bus company is Eagle Christian Tours.
Hotels:
- Hotels for the students will be four student per room (2 per bed).
- Hotels for the boys and girls will be separate facilities
- Ms. Chapman will be providing details on room requests/assignments in September.
Cancellation Policy: A+Tours fully understands that sometimes things come up and works to have the most agreeable cancellation policy in the industry. Anyone who must cancel after registering will receive their money back, minus a $99 motor coach seat fee (or their first installment payment decided by A Plus and Lead Teacher). Anyone who must cancel, in writing, within 7 days of the trip will forfeit $190 (for bus and hotel). Any no-shows on the morning of departure will forfeit the entire cost of the trip.
