Parking Reminders
Below are a list of reminders regarding parking:
- Stickers must be on the driver's side window of the car
- No sharing parking stickers with other students
- If you have a different vehicle for a day or so, email hsparking@hopkinton.k12.ma.us and include the make, model, and license plate number in the email
Yearbook: 2024-2025
The price of the yearbook is currently $90 and will remain so until 10/31/24. This is $35 off the final price so purchase your student's copy now and save! Also, if you buy it by 9/27 and get the personalization (name/message stamped on the cover), Jostens will give you up to four icons on the cover for free. Also, for anyone wishing to purchase a tribute ad for a senior or any student, you can use the same link but scroll down to the ad section. Sometimes senior friends get together and create their own ad! Tribute ads are due by 1/31/25.
Seniors - don't forget: senior portraits are due by October 14th!

College Visits
The following is part of a list of colleges that will be visiting HHS this fall. All visits will be held in the Counseling Office. You can sign up for the meetings in your Naviance Student account. You MUST ask permission from your teacher beforehand if you will be missing a class. You are also responsible for making up any missed work. If you sign up for a visit but are unable to attend the meeting, please notify Mrs. O'Loughlin.

AP Tests
Hopkinton High School AP Exam Registration 2024-2025
AP Exam Registration will be open from August 28 until November 1, 2024.
Registering for AP exams is a two-step process. Both of these steps MUST be done by November 1, 2024, in order to complete your AP exam registration.
STEP 1: Enroll in AP Classroom on College Board for each AP course you are taking during the first week of school. You will receive instructions for this, as well as the join code for each course, from your AP teacher(s) in the first week of school. Make sure you join the correct section for your class period! If you do not know the join code for an AP course you are taking, check with your teacher.
STEP 2: Order and pay for your AP Exam(s) in Total Registration at this link by November 1, 2024: https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/221060 The fee for each individual exam for the 2024-25 school year is $110.

50/50 Raffle Volunteers
This Football season, the Senior Class needs your help to volunteer and help us run our 50/50 raffle. There are four home games this season, which can be found in this spreadsheet. Please consider the dates and sign up if you can! More details will be provided by email to those who sign up.
Project Just Because
Bring family, friends, and fellow pizza lovers! Project Just Because Fundraiser is on Monday October 28th at Bluesquare Pizza. 15% of proceeds between 4-8pm go toward PJB.
GEM Club & Drama Club

Make-a-Wish Club
Support the Make-A-Wish club and foundation by purchasing from our bake sale! Order some spooky sweets and treats including spooky sugar cookies, brownies, cake pops, and chocolate chip cookies! Proceeds will go towards the Make-A-Wish club and donations to the Make-A-Wish foundation. The order form will close at 8:00 PM on 10/25, but we will be in the atrium on 10/28 and 10/29 after school with extra goodies incase you missed out on ordering!

Join us for a delicious night out at Blue Square Pizza on Tuesday, October 29! Enjoy great food while supporting our HOSA club—15% of all profits will go directly to our cause. Bring your friends and family, and we can’t wait to see you there!
Red Cross Club
The Hopkinton Red Cross Club is hosting a Blood Drive at the arts center next door, the HCA, in collaboration with HOSA! We invite students, parents, and staff to come out and donate. Remember, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Your contribution can truly make a difference—every drop counts! As a reminder you must be at least 16 years old to donate! If you are under 18 years old at the time of the Blood Drive you will need parental consent at the time of registration.

Red Cross Club and Community Service Club
We’re excited to announce that the Hopkinton Red Cross and Community Service Club will be organizing a food drive to support our local food pantry just in time for Thanksgiving! From November 4th, 2024 to November 25th, 2024, we invite our community to donate non-perishable food items (i.e. canned goods) to help those in need. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that everyone has a warm meal to share this holiday season. Drop-off bins will be located in the Atrium as well as most Science and History classes. Thank you for your generosity and continued support!

Community Service Club
Help Community Service Club raise money for the Blanket Drive Fundraiser! Donations can be made anytime from October 7 to November 1. Using this money, we will purchase fabric and make blankets. Lastly, we will donate them to Serenity House, a non-profit organization in Framingham, dedicated to helping women recover from substance abuse.

This club is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
Community Service Club
Want to see some of your teachers dress up for Halloween? Donate to the Community Service Club Blanket Making Fundraiser in any science classroom! 100% of proceeds will go to purchasing fleece that will be made into blankets for women recovering from abuse at the Serenity House. Donate now, and help the Community Service Club make the blankets in December!
Wellness Department
The HHS Wellness Department is seeking used golf club donations (specifically high irons 7-9, PW, SW, etc...). Clubs can be dropped off at the front booth of the high school, or email Mike Miller: mmiller@hopkinton.k12.ma.us for alternate drop off. Thanks!
National Art Honor Society
Advisors, Christine Enos and Sara Williams, along with the high school and district administration, inducted our 7th new cohort of National Art Honor Society members on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The ceremony was held in the high school gymnasium. These 60 students were inducted alongside their peers who were being inducted into the National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
NAHS is sponsored by the National Art Education Association and began in 1978 to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The program supports members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

Hopkinton Parks and Recreation
Are getting ready to interview for a job or for college? Are you a teen looking for an internship? Interviewing can be challenging for students especially when they haven’t interviewed before. However, putting one’s best foot forward during an interview is a valuable skill to develop for now and for the future. Interviewing can be a stressful experience for teens whether they are looking for their first job or going to their first college interview. Learn self-presentation skills and important talking points to help succeed at an interview.

Hopkinton Community Partnership's Annual Trunk or Treat Fundraiser- October 26th from 5:30-7:30 pm in the parking lot of the Marathon School. If you'd like to host a trunk in this event or volunteer please message Heathersmith09@verizon.net. The Hopkinton Community Partnership will write letters for the students who may need community service hours.

Bus passes are available through Parks and Recreation for $130
Lift ticket purchases and equipment rentals are made directly through Mt. Wachusett after purchasing a bus pass at hopkintonrec.org
The invoice for the bus pass will contain the access code needed to purchase your discounted lift badge
The required lift ticket is $189 until December 1st when price increases to $219

2024 Massachusetts Lions Youth Speech Contest
Topic: The Best Advice I Ever Received was…
Hopkinton Lions Club Level Competition
Date: Monday, December 2, 2024
The Youth Speech Competition provides an opportunity for students to speak publicly and freely on a designated topic of general interest. It starts at the Hopkinton Lions Club level and proceeds through several levels of competition ending several months later with a state-wide competition. In between there are zone, region, and district levels of competitions where the winner of each level has the opportunity to proceed to the next level.
Each contestant will be judged on delivery, effectiveness and text of speech. Each speech should last no less than five (5) minutes and no longer than eight (8) minutes.
Prizes:
Hopkinton Lions Club level Winner - $200 / Runner-up - $100
Zone, Region, and District levels of competition - at the discretion of District Governor.
State Competition level - $1,500 to the winner and $500 to each runner up.
To be eligible:
Student must be in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade
Reside in or attend school in Hopkinton
Speech given in English

HCA Unified Theater
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts is excited to announce that our Unified Theater program is seeking enthusiastic interns for our upcoming class. The program kicks off on October 6th and will run every Sunday from 4 PM to 5 PM, with the exception of December 29th. This season features a fantastic Disney-themed show directed by Ms. Lit, culminating in a week-long tech week and performances from January 5th to January 12th. The cast will consist of with and without disabilities.
What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking positive and energetic interns who have a passion for theater and inclusion. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on special education experience while making a meaningful impact in our community.
