News From the Nest CMS HS!
Eagle Updates Week of December 2 - December 6
Principal's Corner
Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a chance to spend time with your family, friends, and all those you are thankful for this last week. It was definitely a needed break.
We have two weeks of instruction and then one week of semester exams before Christmas break. That is such a short amount of time! Be sure to check out the schedule for semester exams below. It is different from our regular schedule, and if students do not have an exam, they are not required to be at school during that time. If you have any questions please give us a call!
We have so many things happening - be sure you scroll down and make note of the events, and things we need your help with!
It's always a great day to be a CMS Eagle!

Semester Exam Schedule!
Check out the schedule below for the week of 12/17 - 12/20. Please make sure students who are required to take their semester exams are here during those scheduled times. Make up exam times are only for those students who had approved excused absences during their regularly scheduled exam time. Parents must contact Mrs. Heatherly if they think their child might not be able to attend during the scheduled semester exam time.

Attendance Matters!
And a reminder that students are only allowed 5 notes to excuse absences each semester.
Once students reach four (4) unexcused absences per semester they can be referred to the court. Out of school suspension counts towards unexcused absences as well.
Cell Phone Free Schools!
We have purchased our Yondr pouches and will begin implementing them when we return from Christmas break. Many schools across Arkansas and the United States have adopted using pouches to secure student cell phones during the school day to increase student academic performance, and decrease the effects social media has on their mental health.
Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our policies and FAQ's, Governor Sanders' initiative, and the Yondr pouch program.

Dress Code!
We have had a great start to the year regarding dress code. The students have been dressed appropriately and ready for learning! The illustration below really sums it up! Just remember, no pajama pants, track shorts, and headgear. And remember the dress code, as this applies to the school day AND school sponsored events - including football games and other sporting events.
Thank you!
