A Message From the Principal
Dear Vistas Families,
STAAR testing is officially behind us, and we are proud of the effort our students put into it! This week, we turn our attention to AP testing, with students taking the AP Human Geography and AP World History exams. We are excited to support them as they showcase what they've learned.
This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week, and we cannot thank our incredible Vistas teachers enough for all they do. Their commitment, care, and dedication make a daily impact in the lives of our students, and we are grateful for each and every one of them.
Also, a very special Happy School Nurse Day to Nurse Hernandez! We are so thankful for her compassion and commitment to keeping our students healthy and safe.
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, with just four weeks remaining, we encourage all students to stay focused on their attendance and academics. Graduating seniors, in particular, should pay close attention to deadlines. If any attendance hours are owed, they must be made up by May 9th in order to be included on the May graduation list.
Thank you for being a part of Team Vistas! Together, we can do Whatever It Takes to ensure our students reach their goals. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Warm regards,
Sarah Deckard
Principal, Vistas High School
