Average Daily Attendance for SGE
Last Week's ADA for SGE: 95.4%
ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance and is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. Check out SGE's ADA trends in the chart above.
"98 IS Great!" We'll celebrate as a campus when we hit a week with 98% attendance!
We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work for 98%!
Follow the steps below to view the 2nd Six Weeks Report Cards!!
Leaders of the Pack
We have two new Leader of the Pack recipients to honor!
Aiden showed selflessness! The classroom award was going to either Aiden or a classmate. When Aiden saw how much the other student wanted to win, he volunteered to let the other student win and demonstrated a great act of kindness.
Journey is a helper! She got up from nap, packed herself up and without being asked, she started waking up and packing up her classmates!
Academics + Character = Success
2nd Six Weeks Assembly
Today we joined together to celebrate accomplishments and recognize students for the 2nd six weeks.
A Responsible Reader was selected from each class. This student shows responsibility in reading practice at school and at home!
Students with Responsible Attendance (not more than 1 absence OR 1 tardy) for the 2nd six weeks were recognized with a new brag tag and a Blow Pop to enjoy in class!
Students with Perfect Attendance (0 absences, 0 tardies, 0 leave earlies) for the 2nd six weeks were rewarded with a trip to Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat!
Two students from each class were recognized for demonstrating characteristics of Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind. These students are coming home with a coupon for a free pizza from Mr. Gattis and a $5 game card.

Recognizing our Parents for their Part!
BRAVO to Ms. Martinez (Hannah's mom) and Mr. Marx (Morgen's dad) for getting their kids to school every day of the 2nd six weeks with 0 tardies and 0 leave earlies! Way to go, students, for coming to school every day you're healthy and able, and way to go, parents, for keeping instructional time a priority! These families are taking home 5 free pizza coupons, courtesy of our Burnet Domino's! We'll hold a new drawing each six weeks!
Responsible Attendance Adjustment
Starting this 3rd six weeks, we are upping the criteria for Responsible Attendance. Responsible Attendance will be defined at SGE as having not more than 1 absence, 1 tardy, OR 1 leave early!
As always, every six weeks is a clean slate and a new opportunity to earn recognitions! Regular school attendance is so very crucial because of its direct correlation to student achievement.
BHS Pep Rally
We are excited to announce that SGE students who have returned the permission slip will attend the Pep Rally at Burnet High School on the morning of November 14, 2024. With the full experience of cheerleaders, band, and games, we know this will be a fun and unforgettable event. We will be celebrating the Bulldog Football team’s entry into play-offs that evening.
**Please plan accordingly!**
Due to seating limitations and safety practices, we will not be able to accommodate parent observers at this event, and parents will not be permitted to check students out for the day while away from campus.
This six weeks, we're focusing on Habit 3: Put First Things First!
Be sure to view our Facebook page for pictures from the week!
