ESSA NEWS - ESC 17 Accountability

In partnership with ACET, TEA virtual training will be delivered in two parts and will address the ESSER LEA Grant under the CARES Act. Cory Green will provide an overview of the funding, program guidelines, application process, reporting requirements, program monitoring and compliance, and equitable services requirements of the grant program.

This two-day training requires registration to receive the viewing link.

The ESSER Funds district allocations were released last week. Please look at the document below to review your district allocation. We will be attending an ESC training the first week of June and will have more details to you after the training. In the meantime, please continue to track all COVID expenditures and reference the CARES Act Funding and COVID Expense FAQ (see link below) to answer any questions. The ACE team will definitely keep you updated on due dates and if you are an ACE District, we will be contacting you to schedule times to complete this application as well.

ESSA PNP Affirmation of Consultation, 2020-2021

The ESSA PNP Affirmation of Consultation forms are located in TEAL under ESSA Reports. Districts must upload signed consultation forms for each participating PNP school through ESSA Reports by September 3, 2020.

CARES PNP Affirmation of Consultation, 2020-2021

There will be a CARES PNP Affirmation of Consultation form available in the coming weeks. It will be due September 3, 2020.

The ESSA Consolidated Planning Amounts have been released. You will see that the planning amounts look similar to last year unless you are running a Migrant Program. The Title I, Part C (Migrant Funds) are less than what we are used to seeing for the Migrant program for most districts. Please look at the attached sheet when you have time to begin planning for the 2020-2021 school year. The ESSA Consolidated Application will be available in early June. The ACE team will definitely keep you updated on due dates and if you are an ACE District, we will be contacting you to schedule the completion of your application.

TEA staff will conduct the following application training sessions through video conference webinars. Register for each session in advance by clicking on the session titles below. Capacity is limited to 500 participants. If we receive more than 500 registrations, TEA will send out another notice regarding an overflow streaming site.
