I would like to welcome you to an exciting year at William Tyler Page elementary school. Once again we will use our Back-to-School Quick Links (located on the school’s website) which includes important information to help Page families prepare for a successful start to the 2022 - 2023 school year. A postcard describing our online resources has been mailed to each family, as we are continuously looking for ways to conserve our resources. If you need hard copies of any of our informational documents, you can visit the school’s main office to obtain them.

Kindergarten Orientation

This week we welcome our newest Page Penguins to Kindergarten Orientation. If you have not registered to attend here is the link. Click here to sign up for a time. Kindergarten Orientation will be held in person on August 8th from 3:00 - 7:00 PM & August 9th from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. - There are still spots open. You only need to sign up for one slot per family. Kindergarten students are expected to come to orientation with their families. Students will be meeting with teachers while parents/caregivers are meeting with staff.

Teacher Reveal Cards

Again this year students will receive a postcard in the mail with a scratch off sticker revealing their 2022 - 2023 classroom teacher. Postcards will be mailed out the week of August 22nd If you do not receive a postcard we will have classroom lists during Open House, so families can find out the name of the teacher/s.

Open House Friday, August 26th

Parents and students will be invited to an in-person Open House on Friday, August 26th. Families with last names starting with the letters A-M will attend Open House from 1:00 - 1:45 PM and families with the last names starting with N - Z will attend the Open House 2:00 - 2:45 PM. During the Open House Page Penguins will “meet and greet” with Ms. Brown, Mrs. Dean their new classroom teacher and other staff members.

FARMS applications must be completed each school year. New for the 2022 - 2023 school year students in Maryland who qualify for reduced-price meals will not be charged for meals. The application for FARMS is online and has been updated for the new school year. Apply using www.MySchoolApps.com; this is the preferred application method. You can also apply online using the QR code.

Keller Construction and Delmar Architects have started the Page Elementary School Addition project. The main building is undergoing the placement of additional wiring, pipes, and steel beams to connect the addition of the new building to the existing one. The health room suite that currently has a office and restroom is being enlarged to include an isolation room, closet, and two additional sinks.

The portables have also been seperated and relocated. Portables 1 - 3, which will house the math focus classroom and 3rd grade Immersion classes. Portables 4 - 13 have been relocated behind the basketball courts and will house 4th and 5th grade classes. Construction updates will be placed in the newsletter.

The dates for the PTA Kindergarten Popsicles and Playdates are now available.

Join the PTA for a fun, “getting to know you” playdate for all incoming kindergarten students and their parent/guardian! The kids will be able to play on the playground, meet some new friends, and enjoy popsicles, while parents/guardians get the opportunity to meet one another and chat. PTA members will also be available to answer questions about William Tyler Page Elementary School. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact the following:
