Message from the Principal
Dear CETC Community,
Welcome back from Spring Break! We hope everyone had a fun and relaxing break. As we dive back into the swing of things, we're excited to shine a spotlight on our ProStart Culinary Arts Program. Our students continue to excel in this dynamic field, showcasing their talents and passion for culinary arts.
Additionally, we want to take a moment to recognize the recent successes of our students in our Agricultural Sciences, Health, Pre-Law, ProStart and Welding programs. Students in these programs have competed at several events the past few months and their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have truly paid off. We couldn't be prouder of their achievements.
Looking ahead, our Automotive and Welding programs are gearing up for the Colorado Skills USA competition in April. We're confident that our students will represent CETC and the St. Vrain Valley School District with pride and showcase their skills on a broader platform.
As always, thank you for your continued support and encouragement. Together, we'll make these last eight weeks of school a success for our students.
Sincerely,
ToniJo Niccoli
Principal

National Technical Honor Society
We're excited to share that 155 outstanding CETC students have qualified for induction into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) this year! Among them, 97 have chosen to accept this prestigious honor. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication by maintaining a 3.0 overall GPA, a 3.0 GPA in CTE-specific courses, and completing at least one full year of coursework in a CTE pathway. We extend our congratulations to these hardworking individuals for their well-deserved recognition.
Join us in celebrating their achievements at our NTHS Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the Innovation Center. For more details, please reach out to our counselor, Mrs. Topham.
ProStart Competition
The Colorado ProStart Student Invitational showcased the exceptional culinary and academic skills of our ProStart students. This platform allowed aspiring young professionals to demonstrate their expertise and vie for scholarships and prizes. Teams were required to prepare a three course gourmet meal for two on butane burners with no electricity or running water. Congratulations to Jadin Ruth, Cody Salazar, Fiona Weimer, Tali Wosachlo, and Matthew Wright for their outstanding performance and securing an impressive 4th place finish.
ProStart Headed to FCCLA Conference Next
ProStart will be taking seven students to the FCCLA State Conference April 4th-6th. Each student will be competing in different independent competitions. Good luck to our CETC ProStart Culinary Arts students!

Meet the Teachers
Yvonne Justice
I’m Yvonne Justice, and I’ve been teaching a total of 16 years, all of them at Career Elevation and Technology Center. I teach ProStart 1 and ProStart 2. I won the 2019 Colorado ProStart Teacher of the Year Award. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, gardening, skiing, and doing yoga. One thing I love about teaching at Career Elevation and Technology Center is how our colleagues care about all of our students’ success! We all motivate, inspire, and push each other to grow ourselves and empower our students in technical education.
Hope Nazzaro
I’m Hope Nazzaro, and this is my 20th year of teaching overall and my 8th year at the Career Elevation and Technology Center. I teach ProStart 1 and ProStart 2. I’m happily married and have two amazing children, Dominic and Lily. As a family, we enjoy playing sports, camping, traveling, and just spending time together. I also enjoy playing softball, cheering for the Chicago Bears, and using my creativity in foods and crafts. In 2019, I won the Colorado ProStart Teacher of the Year award. One thing I love about teaching at Career Elevation and Technology Center is that the students here are getting real-life industry skills and experiences that also help build accountability and responsibility. The Career Elevation and Technology Center gives students that professional start.
