Principal Message
Welcome back! As we gear up for a new school year, we’re thrilled to see your child return and embark on another exciting chapter of learning and growth. We hope they had a wonderful summer and are ready to dive into new adventures with enthusiasm.
We’re committed to making this year engaging and enriching for your child, and we look forward to partnering with you to support their journey. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead, filled with discovery and success!
Updates and Reminders
- Drop off begins at 8:45. All students should enter from the playground. Students in 4K and 5K should enter Door 9 and students in first through fifth should enter door 8. There will be a staff member outside greeting your child and directing them when they enter the building.
- School starts at 8:55 and ends at 3:40
- We will begin carline dismissal a bit early on the first day (or two) to account for the change in our dismissal procedures.
- If we have buses leave later than 4:05 we will send a message vis Pikmykid so you know when that bus left KES.
Pikmykid Information

Additional Safety Information
This year, all families will be asked to wait in the vestibule if they are waiting for their child to be pick up for an appointment. Families will be buzzed into the office area if they are volunteering, need office support for forms, and/or their child is in the health room and needs assistance. If you are dropping anything off that your child forgot at home, we will buzz you into the vestibule and ask that you drop it off in that area. These procedures are similar to Farmington Elementary, and the middle and high school and help us to maintain safe and secure schools. We recognize this is a change for our families and this make take time to adjust to.
Surprise! Chalk Messages!
This is becoming one of my most favorite traditions at KES. Starting Monday, September 2nd at 4:00 PM, large bins of colored chalk will be available outside on the playground. You are welcome to come by anytime between 4:00 PM on September 2nd and 7:20 AM on September 3rd to write a surprise message or draw a picture for your child for their first day of school.
