DHES Spirit Wear

Thank you to all of you who ordered items from the Spirit Wear shop. I've been informed that items will be delivered to school in approximately 3 weeks. Each order will be bagged and labeled per student and we will distribute them when we get them! Thanks again!

Our 1st Quarter PBIS Celebration will be held on October 10th. All of our students will gather at an all school assembly at 9:10 and celebrate our successes this first quarter. Students who have earned a DHES Rocks hat or sunglasses will be allowed to wear either one to the assembly on the 10th! Way to go DHES Rockstars!

GET YOUR PIZZA

Our next Dine and Share is Wednesday, October 9th with Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, 2279 Randall Road, Carpentersville, from 4-10pm. Lou’s is donating back 20% of sales from takeout & delivery! We hope that you will participate in this years Walk and Roll to School Day next Wednesday. If your student participates, please have them color the Air Jordan cutout that was sent home with your student! Return it to school on Wednesday and we will hang them up in the hallway to celebrate all the amazing walkers and rollers!

El Festival de Otoño de este año está programado para el jueves 24 de octubre. Para poder organizar este divertido evento familiar para las familias de DHES, necesitamos organizadores voluntarios que se encarguen de la planificación y ejecución de una pequeña parte del evento.

Se necesitan organizadores para preparar proyectos de manualidades simples, ayudar a configurar y supervisar el funcionamiento de los juegos de carnaval, configurar el Pasillo Encantado y coordinar y servir alimentos y bebidas para el evento.

School Store

We wanted to make you aware of an opportunity to support our staff through an online school store. Information will be coming home Monday, October 7th! School Store creates accounts for our staff members and they can receive funds to purchase supplies as they see fit. Signing up is easy, and there are multiple ways to support the school store. Direct donations can be made, or accounts can be linked to everyday purchases families make. At several popular stores (Walmart, Gap, Old Navy), a percentage of your purchases are given back to the school! Look out for the envelope coming home next week.

60th Anniversary

In the month of October we are beginning our 60th Anniversary journey. Each month we will be taking a look back at the decades that Dundee Highlands has been open, starting with the 60's, and we need your help! There are so many generations of families in our community and we know that there must be some great artifacts sitting in your attics or basement. So, if you have any fun Dundee Highlands memorabilia from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and today (This is W-ROCK DHES 99.9), please bring it in to our main office at your earliest convenience! Feel free to spread the news to neighbors and other community members that may have some items to share.
