DVUSD Parent Update
February 2024
DVUSD needs your input! In December of 2023, the 2024-25 DVUSD Budget Committee asked for input on the most important budget priority that should be considered for the upcoming fiscal year (FY25). The Budget Committee has reviewed that input and has developed a second survey asking stakeholders to rank all seven top priorities. The survey will remain open until Monday, February 12, 2024 and we encourage all staff, parents and community members to complete this survey. On behalf of the entire Budget Committee, thank you for all the participation in this process.
Take the survey now or visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/YGWMX97 !
As we strive to continuously improve our schools and the district, we value community and parent feedback. Provide your input by completing this brief survey here. We will take the feedback given on this survey, review the results, and take action on what our parents and community members have to say.
State of the District 2024
Dr. Finch, DVUSD's Superintendent, recently released the annual DVSUD State of the District. The address is designed to mirror the governor’s State of the State for Arizona and the presidential State of the Union to keep you informed on the challenges, progress, growth, and accomplishments of DVUSD students and staff. These state and national civic addresses are designed to reflect upon what is going well, what areas need additional focus, and what the future may hold; this document is no different. The start of the calendar year is a great window to look forward and reflect back as we finish up one school year and make plans for the next.

It's easy to take the little things in life for granted. For many families in the DVUSD community though, the "little things" like shoes and clothing and food are big things because they are not always available. The new Ann E's Giving Closet & Pantry at Deer Valley Middle School aims to help families in need.
With the assistance of Chasse Building Team, Callahan Care, and GCU CityServe, Ann E's Giving Closet & Pantry was opened on January 20, 2024. Dr. Finch speaks with those who made the store possible, and how you can help with donations, on this episode of The 'Supe Scoop.
