TECH Tuesdays have a fresh new look!! (Actually they may not even be on Tuesday)

This term we have reorganized our usual TECH Tuesday offerings. There are three important changes: We're taking the show on the road...these sessions will be held at various schools across the school division rather than at Wilson High. Also, we will only offer four topics that have been chosen to to augment instruction as we prepare for assessment. Finally, all sessions will be only be 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Optimize Edmodo

This session will introduce the use of the new Virginia SOL version of the Edmodo snapshot tool and how it can be used for progress monitoring in Language Arts and Mathematics. In addition, participants will learn about a variety of free apps available in Edmodo.

ThingLink/Padlet

ThingLink is a free online tool that makes pictures interactive. Padlet is a free tool for creating bulletin boards or walls that can contain text, images or videos. Both applications are web-based and can be set up in minutes for use as a study aid for your students.

Microsoft Office Mix for Office 2013

Come learn how you can use Microsoft Office Mix to bring your PowerPoint presentations to life as interactive online lessons. From recording audio or video of yourself giving a lecture, to directly writing in the presentation as you would at your whiteboard, to quizzing, and sharing...Office Mix does it all!!
