Highlights of the week!

Dear Coleman Families,

This week, our students had a memorable and exciting day during the Patriot Day Lunch! We were honored to host members of the Boles Fire Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, and the Meramec Ambulance Department. After enjoying a special school-wide lunch with our local heroes, the students had a blast playing kickball and tag. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to get to know our first responders in a fun and friendly setting. We’re grateful to these community members for their service and for making this day so special!

Our Fall Mum Fundraiser is still underway, and we appreciate your continued support! Don't forget, orders are due by Friday, September 20th. Help us reach our goal and add some beautiful mums to your fall décor.

Please note that Friday, September 20th, is also a Professional Development Day for staff, which means no school for students.

Oasis Tutoring

Do you know someone 50+ who would be interested in helping a child learn to love reading and learning? Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers ages 50+ with children in grades K-3 to work one-on-one each week as their tutors, mentors and friends. They can tutor one child or several, on a one-on-one basis each week throughout the school year.

Anyone interested can sign up today by calling 314-995-9506 or visiting https://st-louis.oasisnet.org/tutoring/. Training will be on October 16 from 9:00-2:00 at Central Office.

Birthday Celebrations

In compliance with our Healthy Generation School goals, Coleman will focus on healthy celebrations. Student birthdays will be recognized on our daily announcements.

To comply with the national health guideline, we do not accept birthday or holiday treats.

*Every student at Coleman Elementary will receive a birthday pencil and card from the office on their birthday.*
