PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families,
Late Start Wednesday provided a fantastic opportunity for our staff to engage in meaningful professional development. This year, our focus has been on preparing for our school wide coding lessons, which take place every Late Start Wednesday. These lessons are designed to build problem-solving skills, foster creativity, and introduce students to the fundamentals of computer science. We’re excited to see our students grow as critical thinkers through these engaging activities.
In addition, our staff explored ways to use AI tools in education to make learning more interactive and personalized for student needs. As technology continues to evolve, we are committed to integrating innovative strategies that enhance engagement and support every learner.
We also deepened our work in Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) through our RISE program, which helps us teach, monitor, and reinforce positive behaviors across our school. By creating a consistent and supportive environment, we empower our students to show respect, integrity, safety, and empathy every day.
We recognize that schedule changes can sometimes disrupt routines, and we truly appreciate the ongoing support from our families and community.
Warmly,
Amanda

PTO UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
The relationships and community fostered between kids of all ages is one of the things we love about Eagle Crest. From book buddies helping the younger grades to fifth graders planning and running field day, this interconnectedness is one of our school’s greatest strengths.
Did you know these community connections can continue even after students graduate?!
Visit PTO’s Facebook and Instagram pages; if you have an Eagle Crest graduate who babysits, walks dogs, does yard work, or has another amazing skill to share, let us know in the comments.
If you are a parent looking for a little extra help, check out the responses.
Sincerely,
Katie Lancaster, PTO President
