A completed Pre-ETS Referral Form is required for each student.

Student Information Day at HACC's Gettysburg Campus
Adams County students, including a group from LHS, attended The Adams County Transition Councilβs Student Information Day at HACCβs Gettysburg Campus. Throughout the day-long event, the students attended speaker sessions where they viewed presentations and participated in discussions related to the various social and employment expectations that come with being an adult, including The Difference Between High School and College, Programs Offered at Hiram G. Andrews Education Center, Johnstown, PA, Employment Opportunities Within a School District, What is the Law?: Important Changes in Status When You Turn 18, Dressing for an Interview, Healthy Relationships, and Soft Skills: What are They and Why are They Important?. Students were also given the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills during a Mock interview session. Just before sitting down to a Subway lunch (with a chocolate chip cookie!), provided by the transition council, the students heard a keynote address on overcoming adversity, given by Daniel Rivera, founder of Legacy Supportive Care Services, LLC. Feedback from students indicates that the experience was both informative and enjoyable. Students especially enjoyed the Dressing for an Interview session presented by Jenn Nicrone of PSECU.

NURSES CORNER
Happy Spring Everyone
The health office has moved. With the new addition now being occupied the health office now has a new home that is much more open and bigger. The health office has a room that the students and staff can do tele-health appointments in as well as specific rooms for treatment of students and staff. You can now find the new health office around the corner from the main office. To get into the health office please enter through the door that is located in the lobby area near the new gym.
Also if your student is sick please keep them home. Please remind your student to be carrying a water bottle with them at all times so that they can stay hydrated and healthy. This is a good time to remind everyone to be washing their hands frequently.
Reminder students can not carry any medications with them in school. This includes cough drops and over the counter medications like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, vitamins, or supplements. If your student needs to have medication or needs a cough drop, Tylenol or Ibuprofen, they can visit the health room for these medications. Students are not allowed to bring in prescription medication to the health office, according to school policy all medication must be bought in by a parent/guardian in the original container with the students name, date of birth, name of medication, and instructions for giving the medication and the parent or guardian will need to sign the medication in with the health office.
The health room does not have any allergy/cold medicine. If your child needs allergy/cold medicine please be sure that they are taking it prior to coming to school and that it will last for 8 hours to get the student through the day.
If you have a student that is in 11th grade, please turn in their physical forms to the health office along with an updated immunization form if you have not already done so. Also as a reminder any current 11th graders will need to have their 2nd meningococcal vaccine (MCV)to start the 12th grade. If your student has not had it, please contact your physician office to get the appointment set up to get vaccination so that your student will not miss any time from school.
As the school year is starting to wind down please remind your students to be sure to eat breakfast, get plenty of rest and bring a water bottle to school with them so that they are prepared for the testing that happens at the end of the school year.
Recently the LHS National Honor Society inducted 10 new students and recognized the fall inductee.

REMINDERS
Did you know that BREAKFAST is FREE for every student in our school district? However, in order to be FREE, students must make sure they are getting a fruit or fruit juice along with their entree item. Is your student unsure about how it works? Send them to the Counseling Office and we will walk them through it OR our awesome Cafeteria Staff can help too.
Does your student qualify for FREE & REDUCED LUNCH? Parents need to re-apply each school year as government guidelines do change yearly. Re-apply within the SchoolCafe app or website.
Stay on top of your student's SchoolCafe account. Do they need more money added or are they in the negative? You can add money via schoolcafe or send a check made out to Littlestown High School with your students name/account number.
Need further help? Contact Food Service Coordinator Jenifer Dooley or 717-359-4146 x1299

You can register beginning when you turn 17 years and 3 months old, but you must register by your 18th birthday to avoid the possibility of any fines/penalties.
NOTE: Registering with Selective Service does not mean you are joining the military.
