Community Update from Principal Griffin
Dear Erie High School families,
Thank you for your continued partnership in another great week at Erie High School! In addition to my newsletter update, I appreciate you taking a few minutes to watch my video update for the week!
We are looking ahead to an amazing Homecoming Week beginning Monday, September 16th with the Homecoming Kick-Off event. You can review all of the details for Homecoming Week below, including specifics on Spirit Days, Advisory activities, after school activities, the Homecoming Kick-Off, the Homecoming Football game, and the Homecoming Dance. This is sure to be a very exciting week for our students, staff, and community!
Thank you to the staff and families that joined us for the 2024 Superintendent’s Town Hall at Erie High School on Tuesday evening. It was a great event for all in attendance, as we learned more from Dr. Haddad about the incredible celebrations, achievements, vision, and objectives of the St. Vrain Valley School District. The evening was an uplifting reminder of the power and impact of positive, robust community engagement that we enjoy in Erie and throughout St. Vrain!
Save the Date:
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held at Erie High School on October 8th and October 10th from 3-6 pm. These conferences are a great opportunity for parents/guardians to connect with their child’s teachers.
PSAT/NMSQT & Practice SAT tests
Additionally, we are excited to administer our first round of SAT/PSAT testing on October 9th. This is the official testing date for juniors to complete the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT), and we will administer a practice SAT test for our freshmen and sophomores. The senior class will have a day of asynchronous learning on October 9th. We will provide additional details and information about this testing administration as we get closer to the testing date, but please save the date in preparation for this important testing administration.
I hope that you and your family have a great weekend. I am looking forward to an outstanding Homecoming Week next week!
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal

Parking Passes
Erie High School is working to create a safe parking lot for staff and students. We need to have all students (even if you have a previous pass) that are parking in the parking lot obtain a new parking pass. They have changed this year! We are asking each student to fill out the form to register, then stop by the campus supervisor desk to pay the $5 fee and pick up the pass. Please place the pass in the lower left hand corner of the interior windshield.
Campus supervisors will be monitoring the lot and placing warnings on cars beginning 9/3/24.
Code of Conduct (Guardian Signature Required!)
Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.
To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.
Again, thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our administrative team.

Study Hall
Our 9th and 10th graders are given the opportunity to complete their school work every other day in Study Hall. During this time, students not only complete work, but also learn about executive functioning skills, life skills, and practice for the PSAT. Students have a weekly check-in with their teacher in which they go over current grades and missing assignments. We want to ensure students can complete their homework while participating in a variety of after school activities. Our students are supported and provided every opportunity to attend and engage. Every student, every day. If you have questions, reach out to your student’s teacher.
9th grade: Ms. Cassie and Ms. Borne
10th grade: Ms. Amanda and Ms. Dez
