LJC6 Mule Memo
Our Vision is to Inspire All Students to Achieve Excellence
December 3 , 2024
Early Release December 20th
Winter Break, No School December 23 - January 8
As we approach the holiday season, I wish each of you a joyful and peaceful time with your loved ones. This season reminds us of the importance of family, connection, and the families that make our Lone Jack community so special.
Reflecting on this past year, I am proud of the growth and accomplishments of our students, staff, and families. We have such amazing individuals learning, teaching and supporting the education and growth of our kids.
As we look ahead to the new calendar year, I am excited about the opportunities it brings for our district. Whether through innovative learning experiences, continued development of our programs, use of new facilities or collaboration with our families, I am confident we will achieve great things together.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our school district's success. In the new year, I encourage you to find a way to become or continue to be engaged with the workings of the district. Find that area of interest and volunteer or attend to show our students your support.
Wishing you a season filled with warmth, happiness, and cherished memories. Here’s to a bright and successful 2025!

We love our Parents As Teachers Program!
If you have children birth - 5 years, connect with Mrs. Glover!
A research paper was recently published in the Early Childhood Research Quarterly that shows participation in the Missouri Parents as Teachers (PAT) parent education program is positively associated with third-grade math and English language arts proficiency. This research contributes to the literature on the importance of home visiting programs and is one of the few studies examining the effects of a voluntary, universal parent education program. Read the full PAT article here.
The research comes as PAT is celebrating 40 years! This program has an incredible history with the dedicated work of the founder Mildred Winter, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and Missouri legislators starting the program in every school district in Missouri. PAT made international news through television stations and key educational scientists in early childhood supporting the program.

Attendance at extracurricular activities - help us keep our events safe!
We are so blessed that our families and community are active and attend our athletics and fine arts events. LJC6 asks that you always monitor or keep your young children with you while you are in attendance. We have younger children and students who are wandering hallways and creating a loud and disruptive environment for our guests. Supervisors and administrators need to be monitoring the activities for organization and safety reasons, so please ensure your children are supervised as well.
