An email signature serves as a digital business card, providing recipients with a quick and easy way to contact the sender. It typically includes the sender's name, title, school, contact information, and an image. An email signature is important for several reasons. It helps to establish trust and credibility with the recipient. By including your contact information and company logo, you show that you are a legitimate and professional entity. An email signature also makes it easy for the recipient to contact you. Instead of searching for your contact information, they can simply refer to your signature.

Adding an email disclaimer is important because it helps protect a from potential legal liability by clearly outlining the terms of use for the email content, including confidentiality restrictions, and notifying the recipient that the information shared may be sensitive or legally privileged, thus mitigating risks associated with sharing confidential information or making incorrect statements in an email.

Organizing your favorites (or bookmarks) in the Chrome and Edge browsers are important because it allows you to quickly and easily access frequently visited websites by grouping them into categories and folders, saving you time and improving your overall browsing efficiency, especially when you have a large collection of saved links; essentially acting like a digital filing system for your webpages.

Virtual field trips are a game changer. Not only do they fill in for real field trips when budgets and other roadblocks prevent in-person options, but virtual field trips also open doors to educational experiences all over the country and the world, both past and present. No fundraising or permission slips required!

The Alabama State Department of Education (SDE) invites you to participate in our popular monthly Virtual Field Trips. Alabama has been a trailblazer using technology for the purpose of advancing education. Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide (ACCESS), Alabama Learning Exchange (ALEX), Alabama Technology in Motion (ATiM), and e-Learning for Educators are all strong tools used for the advancement of digital learning, in addition to the expansive ways technology is used in the classroom.
