Principal Message
What a day...Parade of Graduates, construction began, and the last Monday of the year!
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate the beginning of the very exciting construction project. A few reminders:
- Door #1 will be unavailable for use starting on Monday, June 3.
- Breakfast Students: Students who are going to breakfast should use door #12 (by Kindergarten) and walk down the K-2 hallway to the cafeteria.
- Office Visits: Parents who need to come to the office should park on the street and call the Washington office at 507-345-3059. The cafeteria door, door #3, will be the door that parents use if they need to come into our space. Parents: please do not park in the parking lot or in front of door #3. Staff can continue to park in the staff parking lot.
We encourage parents to limit trips inside the school during the last few days of the year if at all possible to ensure a smooth end-of-year process for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Your support is greatly appreciated as we work to make the end of this school year as smooth as possible.
~ Medications: Should your child have medications in the health office, please make a plan to pick these up by the end of the day on Thursday, June 6. Any medications not picked up by the end of the day on June 6th will be discarded.
~ Lice: Not a fun topic, I know! Trust me, I have lived through this as a parent, and it's a monumental challenge! It seems to be a bit of a continued concern here at Washignton. Please remind your children that hats, scrunchies, headbands, and combs/brushes should never be shared! Please be aware that "selfies" are also a way that lice can be transmitted. Making families aware of this concern may help to eliminate the spread.
As always, thank you for your support--it matters!

Parade of Graduates...such a special day!
Snack Cart
Each year, the PTO helps to financially support the snack cart for those students/families who are unable to pay the yearly snack cart fee. As we near year-end, we would gladly take donations to reduce the cost owed for this service (we are estimated to owe $3500). Should you wish to donate, please send your donation to the Washington office. Should you wish to ask families members to consider supporting this as well or make a donation in someone's name as a gift or something, you can use the graphic below to thank them.
