We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break! We are excited to welcome you back to school tomorrow. You will have many opportunities to grow academically, as a leader, and in character this semester. Make the most of them!

Many HOSA members competed in the HOSA online testing this past week. Great job to all those who tested this year! Three of the groups will be advancing to our Area competition in February. Both EMT teams and our Parliamentary Procedure team have advanced!!

Faith Crow, Laney Ellis, Sara Koch, Joselyn Perez, Aaley Ramirez, and Brylee Stanfield.

What a memorable night last night! Thank you to everyone who came and showed their support for the amazing students here at FHS! We say it all the time, but we are truly blessed with the best!

A big thank you to Six Branch for the venue, it was absolutely beautiful! The trees were a perfect match for our theme.

Thank you Mano's for the delicious dinner and getting everyone through the line quickly! Jim Bob Fisher - thank you for your sound equipment and expertise!

Congratulations to Ms. Rosenbusch on your retirement! You have given Florence FFA so many years and left an everlasting impact on over 3,500 students at FHS! Everyone who has worked alongside you has gained a wealth of knowledge and even deeper appreciation for this organization you are so passionate about! Thank you for all the memories and we look forward to making more with you!!

The Varsity Boys Basketball team won the Priddy Basketball Tournament. The team went 3-0 during the tournament in route to winning the championship game, congratulations!

The Varsity Girls Soccer team won two games in route to finishing 4th at the Rockdale Soccer Tournament. Great job!

The girls picked up their fifth win of the season over the break with a 42 - 19 win at the Priddy Basketball tournament.

In Texas, TSI Complete means that a student has met all the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) and is ready to enroll in college-level courses:

TSIA2 Benchmarks

• Mathematics: a minimum score of 950 or less than 950 and a diagnostic level 6
• ELAR (English language arts, writing and reading): a minimum score of 945 on the multiple-choice section with an essay score of 5-8, or less than 945 on the multiple-choice section, a diagnostic level of 5 or 6, and an essay score of 5-8

College and Career Readiness Benchmarks (SAT)

• Reading and Writing: 480
• Math: 530

Students taking the TSIA2 in January have numerous resources available to them. Please see below for a link to some resources. All seniors who are not TSI Complete will take the TSIA2 in January. Students that signed up to take the TSIA2 will also participate.
