MES Soaring to Success
Principal weekly update
This week, we have a really busy week once again. We have no school tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day). On Thursday, we will hold our annual Veteran's Day celebration. Please see the information below regarding the ceremony.
Parent conferences are coming up! Please make sure you have signed up for a conference with your child's teacher. The 5th grade parents were sent a google form to sign up for conferences. The form is now closed. If you missed the form, please reach out to your child's teacher. We will let you know if there are openings after we schedule those who signed up.
Please see information below regarding an opportunity for your child to win money in Chet's Dream Big contest.
Now that the weather is colder in the mornings, our Lost & Found table has grown! Please encourage your children to check the Lost & Found table in the cafeteria for missing items! If parents wish to check the Lost & Found, you may sign in at the office, then you can check the table.
Reminder for students in the drama club that practices will now be till 5:00!

A note from the nurse
- Keep an eye on the weather. Please remember to dress your child for the temperature of the day! Students go out to recess regardless of what they are wearing to school
- As a reminder, please keep in mind sensibly sized water bottles. We have water filling stations that students can use to refill throughout the day.
- Don’t forget to pack healthy choices for lunch and snack[s].
- Spills, trips and wet slides…. Think about packing a change of clothing for your child
- Scoliosis screening begins this week for fifth grade girls [10/28;10/29/;10/30]
A Note from Mrs. Winter
If you need to make a change to your child's dismissal, please remember to get those changes in BEFORE 12:00 so we have time to communicate the information to the teacher.

As a reminder, please keep in mind sensibly size water bottles. The giant ones pose issues when spilled. We have water filling stations.
For gym and recess don't forget no flip flops.
