Thank you to gym teacher Laura Laban for planning out another wonderful field day for all of the Ebeling Eagles last Friday! We had perfect weather, and SOOOO many parent volunteers. A great big thank you to all of you who shared you time and talent with us, and a special thank you to those who were part of the Field Day committee. This crew of volunteers spent countless hours in preparation for the day, and countless hours (and STEPS!) on Friday to ensure the day ran smoothly. What a fantastic way to celebrate at the end of another school year:)

Sixth Grade Parents, please note that the 'graduation' ceremony will be held in the PAC at Henry Ford II High School on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Some things to note:

• Students report to school as usual, and arrive at the Henry Ford PAC as a group via UCS bus transportation at the start of the event.
• Parents and other family members may arrive at the PAC beginning at 8:00 AM.
• Students will process into the auditorium at 9:15 AM, and all guests must be seated by 9:00 AM
• Guests arriving after 9:00 AM will wait in the hallway/lobby until after the student procession.
• Students will return back to school following the ceremony unless they have been signed out by a parent or guardian.

The flower pots at the Main Office entrance got a much-needed makeover this weekend. Mrs. Pizzo selected several hardy perennials from her home garden to beautify our entryway. They look marvelous and will spruce up the area for years to come!

A beautiful tribute recently came to fruition in the form of new books for our school library. The books were purchased using donated funds from friends of Samy, who attended kindergarten at Ebeling but is no longer with us. The bookshelf is adorned with a placard which reads:

Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.

Each book is marked with a dedication sticker inside, and available for check-out. Additional books have been purchased and will be added to the collection of books Samy would have loved to read.

Elections for the two open positions on the Ebeling PTA Board were held earlier this spring. We are excited to welcome Carl Vanidour, new to the Board as Vice President, and Hoi Lee, returning as Board Treasurer. Remaining in the position of President is Ashley Gittler; remaining as Secretary is Kristina Hughes. We can't wait for the new year as we continue to see more of our families active and involved in the school community!
