November: Giving Thanks
Dear UES Families and Caregivers,
The last two months at the UES have been truly incredible. As we enter November, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for entrusting us with the care and education of your children every day. It is both an honor and a privilege to teach, know, and watch each of our students grow.
At UES, we emphasize our Big Three: Make Safe Choices, Be Respectful, and Build Community. These core principles guide us in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Throughout November, our Character Strong theme is gratitude, and we’re excited to bring this theme to life with a special assembly. Our school counselors and physical education teachers have collaborated to create an event that combines gratitude and wellness, helping students understand the importance of these values in their everyday lives.
In addition, our annual food drive will soon be underway, offering students a meaningful way to contribute to our community. We’re also hosting an information session about our upcoming school musical, SpongeBob SquarePants, and encourage your child to join us to learn more about this exciting production.
We’re also gearing up for parent-teacher conferences this month, where we’ll have the chance to share your child’s strengths and areas to focus on. We’re adding a parent feedback session on the student handbook during our evening conferences. This is a valuable opportunity for families to share their thoughts, and we welcome your input to make our school environment the best it can be.
Thank you again for your partnership and support in building a respectful, safe, and community-centered school. Together, we’re creating a place where every student feels valued and encouraged to thrive.
Warm regards,
Dr. J and the UES Leadership Team

Thanksgiving Food Drive
The UES, along with Home and School, is delighted to once again participate in the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive! Your help is needed for the success of this program. Last year, the Moorestown School District collected hundreds of meals for distribution within our town.
If you would like to participate, each class is being assigned a specific item to donate. Children may bring items to school to be collected in their homeroom. Please see the chart below for the item assigned to your child’s class.
The item(s) you donate will be organized into dinner packages and delivered in time for Thanksgiving. Many families in our school community will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving thanks to the generous support of our school community.
Food will be collected Monday, November 4th through Friday, November 22nd. Please send in items between these dates.
Thank you for your help during the Holiday Season!
