CES Weekly News
May 5 - May 9, 2025
Last week, our amazing Aviator 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students absolutely rocked it out during SC Ready Reading and Writing! We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, focus, and determination they showed each day. Their commitment to doing their personal best truly lifted them sky-high!
Up this week: Math for grades 3–5 and Science for 4th grade only. These final assessments are just another opportunity for our Aviators to shine, and we know they’re ready for the challenge.
Let’s continue to rally behind them—your encouragement makes all the difference. Be sure they get plenty of rest, a good breakfast, and lots of positive vibes each morning. A high-five, a hug, or a simple “You’ve got this!” goes a long way. We’re proud of every single student and grateful for our supportive families. Let’s finish strong!
Celebrating Our Aviator Crew
This week, schools across the nation are taking a moment to say THANK YOU to the heart of every school—our teachers and staff. At Centerville Elementary, our Aviator Crew goes above and beyond every single day to help students soar. Whether it’s through thoughtful instruction, caring support, or simply offering a listening ear, our staff members are the wings behind every student's success.
We invite our Aviator families to join us in celebrating and showing appreciation for the incredible team that makes CES a place where students feel safe, loved, and challenged to be their very best.
Here are just a few simple ways you and your child can say THANK YOU this week:
📝 Write a Note: A handwritten message or drawing from a student is a heartfelt way to brighten a teacher or staff member’s day.
📢 Say It Out Loud: Encourage your child to say “thank you” in person—those words mean more than you know.
📬 Email a Compliment: Take a minute to send a quick message of gratitude to a teacher, assistant, or support staff member who has made a difference.
📸 Share a Shoutout: Post a kind message or photo on social media and tag Centerville Elementary to help spread the joy!
🎨 Get Creative: Make a class thank-you poster, banner, or even a paper airplane note with messages of appreciation.
Let’s make sure our entire Aviator Crew feels the love this week. Their dedication lifts every student higher, and this is our chance to lift them up in return.

Congratulation to Our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Glymph
We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Leianne Glymph, our exceptional music teacher, has been named the 2025–2026 Centerville Elementary School Teacher of the Year!
Selected by her colleagues, Mrs. Glymph is known for being:
🎵 Caring
🎵 Positive
🎵 Motivating
🎵 Encouraging
🎵 Organized
Every note she teaches, every student she uplifts, and every performance she leads reflects her deep belief in the power of education and the potential of every child. When asked what message she’d share with others, Mrs. Glymph said:
“Every child deserves a positive, high-quality educational experience.”
Let’s give a BIG, raucous round of applause to Mrs. Glymph for helping our Aviators find their rhythm, their confidence, and their voice. We’re proud to have her as part of the CES family and even prouder to recognize her excellence.
Congratulations, Mrs. Glymph! 🛫🎶
