We Before Me Edition 12: October 28th- November 1st
Fundamental Five Teacher of the Week!
Hello WES Family,
As we enter Week 12, we continue to see our students and staff embody our "We Before Me" vision in meaningful ways across campus. Our team is committed to fostering an environment of mutual support, collaboration, and growth, and we're excited to share a few highlights.
Student Council Leadership in Action!
Our Student Council leaders have taken on extra responsibilities with enthusiasm and pride. From assisting with car rider duty each morning to warmly welcoming their fellow students as they arrive, these student leaders are modeling what it means to be a Wharton Tiger. They help set the tone for a positive day of learning and have quickly become invaluable members of our morning team. Their dedication to their peers and school community embodies the very best of our "We Before Me" spirit.
Teacher Dedication to Tutorials and Interventions
Our teachers have shown exceptional commitment to their students' success by launching tutorial sessions this week! Not only have they started their own tutorials, but many are also stepping in to take on additional groups to ensure that every child receives the support they need. This dedication to closing achievement gaps through targeted interventions exemplifies the collaborative spirit that makes Wharton Elementary such a supportive environment for both learning and teaching.
What’s Happening this Week?
Progress Reports- Progress report grades, including citizenship grades, are due by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, 10/27/2024 for the Grading Review Team to check.
Tutorials: Tutorials are in full swing! Please check your child’s schedule and ensure they’re attending on their designated days. With your support, our teachers are making a lasting impact through targeted intervention.
-Student Council Events: Stay tuned for upcoming events and ways our Student Council will continue leading by example around campus.
Family Engagement Night- Our next Family Engagement Night will be a great opportunity for families to connect, learn, and support each other in the Wharton community at Taco Bout it Tuesday held here at WES on October 29th from 4;30- 7:00 pm.
