Winter Recess Reminders
Dear Families,
As the weather gets colder, it's important to remind you about our snow procedures for students and outdoor recess. In order to play IN the snow, students need ALL 5 of the following items when there is snow on the ground: coat, gloves/mittens, snow boots, snow pants, and a hat or hood. If they do not have ALL 5 of these items, they'll still be permitted to play outside but they will have to avoid the snow and will need to stay on the blacktop only. We appreciate your attention to this and your understanding!
We also encourage you to send your child with a heavy coat each day - as we have seen this past week, the temperature can change and drop at anytime! We want to make sure our students are dressed appropriately, because we will plan to go outside if it's not raining and it's above 10 degrees wind chill. It is very important that our students have the opportunity to burn off some energy after a morning of learning.
We thank you for your attention to this matter,
Mr. Cammarata and Mr. Jenks

DSC K-4 Anonymous Safety Reporting Form
Dear DSC Elementary Families,
To ensure that all students, staff, and families have a way to report safety concerns anonymously, DSC administration has introduced a "K-4 Anonymous Safety Reporting Form."
This form is designed for individuals who wish to remain anonymous or for students who want to report something but are unsure of how to proceed. Parents are encouraged to continue reaching out to the school directly via email or phone for any concerns.
Please keep in mind that this initiative was created to keep communication channels open and provide students with a safe way to report incidents while maintaining their privacy. If you have any questions or safety concerns, don't hesitate to contact your building principal.
To view or complete the DSC K-4 Anonymous Safety Reporting Form, please visit our Brummitt webpage and scroll to the bottom.
