Our Committed Staff
Professional Development
On October 14, 2024, the district implemented a full-day of Professional Development. The main focus of the day was to further equip staff members with the knowledge on how to interpret LinkIT assessment data as well as how they may utilize the data analytics platform to plan data-informed instruction for their students. I would like to thank the administration for their diligence in planning such a comprehensive day of professional learning. I would also like to thank our committed faculty and staff who demonstrated such a strong commitment to expanding their understanding of LinkIT and its for our students.
Staff Open Office Hours
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff members who have signed up to meet with me during my open office hours throughout the district. The conversations have been wonderfully informative and insightful. Staff members, please know that your voice not only matters but is integral in the success of our students and district!

Trunk-or-Treat Events 🎃
On Friday, October 25, 2024, I had the opportunity to attend the Franklin School PTA’s Trunk or Treat event. Both my young daughter and I were thoroughly impressed with the creative trunk designs and costumes. It was quite evident that students, staff and families enjoyed the event. I would like to thank the Franklin Elementary School PTA, and all of our PTAs, for organizing events like these for our school community.

Distinguished Alumni Awards
On October 9, 2024 I attended the Distinguished Alumni and Academic Achievement Awards. It was a wonderful event that enabled the district to recognize the achievements of current students as well as two alumni who accomplished a great deal since graduating from RHS. Congratulations to Mr. Daniel Exter, Class of 2004 and Mr. Michael Solis, Class of 2003 on their awards.

Sustainability Awards Ceremony
On October 23, 2024, all seven of Roxbury Public Schools’ communities were honored for their efforts in sustainability. The awards ceremony took place at the New Jersey School Boards’ Convention and highlighted the impressive work the district has engaged in in order to attain the honor of “Silver Status.” Thank you to all the staff who have worked so hard on a daily basis to achieve this honor. Please know your efforts are truly appreciated.
POG Work Groups
On October 16, 2024, I facilitated a work-session for interested parents/community members. The focus of the session was to further develop the POG’s indicator attributes based on the student, staff, and parent survey data that was collected during the 2023-2024 school year. I would like to thank the parents and community members who participated in the session as it was a productive and informative discussion. A similar exercise will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the RHS media center for any individual(s) interested in attending.
