Superintendent Community Update
Superintendent's Message
Dear JUHSD Community,
As Halloween approaches on Thursday, I want to remind everyone to be thoughtful in our costume and decoration choices. Here are a few key points:
Costume Considerations:
- Cultural Sensitivity: Choose costumes that are respectful and avoid stereotypes.
- Safety First: Ensure costumes are safe for activities and avoid obstructive masks.
- Age Appropriateness: Select costumes that suit the high school environment.
Decoration Guidelines:
- Community Respect: Choose themes that promote inclusivity.
- Safety Precautions: Keep walkways clear to prevent hazards.
Have fun and stay safe this Halloween!
Warm regards,
Toni Presta

Through regular professional development sessions and interdisciplinary teams, educators are sharing resources and strategies to create inclusive learning environments that address diverse student needs. This commitment to equity not only enriches the educational experience but also builds a stronger, more connected community.
