Message from President Dr. Robin R. Simmons, Metro CABSE
As we launch into our membership drive, I want to personally invite you to join Metro CABSE in our ongoing mission to champion equity in education. Your membership is crucial—it enables us to continue our impactful work and expand our reach.
This year, we’re seeking dedicated participants to support key initiatives like the 2025 Juneteenth Awards Celebration, the Parent Commission: The Right to Read initiative, and the Black Men Teach in CLE campaign. We’re also in need of a dynamic fundraising committee, as the success of our scholarships and awards directly depends on our ability to raise funds. The more we raise, the more we can give back to our community.
Membership is just $50, with $40 supporting Metro CABSE directly and $10 contributing to your Ohio Alliance membership. Please note that your national membership can be completed through the National Alliance website. We use these dues to maintain our communications, including flyers, our website, and newsletters, as well as to support our events.
Why is Metro CABSE important? Why should you join?
- Galvanize like-minded individuals to fight for equity in education on both the local and state levels. Together, we can make a real impact.
- Recognize scholars and educators from surrounding districts who are making a difference in their communities.
- Spread Awareness of the disparities in education, reminding us all of the ongoing challenges and the need to seek solutions.
- Network with others who can contribute their talents and services for the betterment of everyone.
The fight is not over, and the struggle is real. We need your support and the support of others to continue this vital work. By joining now, your membership will cover the full 2025 calendar year, and you’ll immediately start enjoying the benefits of being part of Metro CABSE for the remainder of 2024. For our current members, now is the perfect time to renew your commitment.
Our membership drive is officially underway and will run until December. Join us today and be a part of the change we all want to see.
Sincerely,
Dr. Robin Simmons
