We hope all of our learners had a great first day of school. Please review with your child who their teachers are and how they are getting home from school.

As a reminder Parents/ Guardians are not permitted to get out of their vehicles at the Drop Off Zone. We have placed horses and cones up to ensure organization and to help ensure everyone is safe. At Dismissal, parents/guardians must also stay behind the horses and cones to wait to request for their child to be brought to them.

Parents/Guardians who want to pick up their child early from school, it must be done before 3:15pm. After 3:15pm, your child will be dismissed to their regular dismissal routine. Unfortunately, it creates an unsafe situation to attempt to transition the children at dismissal time.

Also, a reminder to all of our John Marshall families that they must stay in their vehicles when dropping off/picking up your child. Parents/Guardians are not permitted to walk their child into the school. There will be cones and horses set up to ensure organization and safety for the children. Parents/Guardians must stay behind the cones/horses as we do not want to overwhelm the children.

If you are driving your child to or from school, you must use the Drop Off Zone on the side of the building. All children should exit and enter the vehicle from the passenger side of the vehicle as a safety precaution.

If your child is in Kindergarten and you want to walk to pick up your child up at the Kindergarten doors you must park your car. You must park your car in a legal parking spot. We encourage people to park in the back of the school where it is not so congested and walk down the path. If there is a sibling in another grade, we can arrange for both of them to be dismissed from the Kindergarten doors.

If your child is in Fourth or Fifth Grade and you want to pick up your child and you are not in a car you go to the Media Center doors.

Kindly, review with your child how they are getting home from school. If your child rides a bus we ask that you print your child’s bus pass and place it in your child’s bookbag. It is imperative that you review your child’s bus stop with them so they know where they are getting off the bus. If you have Transportation questions, please feel free to call Transportation at 732-452-4900.

Breakfast will begin tomorrow, September 6th. Children can receive breakfast for free this year.

Lunch can be purchased daily from the Cafeteria, or brought from home. As a reminder, students will not be permitted to bring opened food items from the cafeteria. Please make sure to check lunch bags and book bags to ensure that no food has been accidentally left in there.

Please make sure you have logged into the portal to find out your child’s teacher and their room number. All forms must be completed to find out your child’s teacher. If you need assistance getting onto the portal, John Marshall School is offering assistance on the following dates:

September 11th from 3:45pm - 4:45pm

September 26th from 3:45pm- 5:00pm

Please go by the Media Center doors and someone will be there to assist you.
