Thinking of attending an HBCU? Learn about life at an HBCU from BHS alum and current Howard University student! She will discuss her path to an HBCU and experiences as a Howard student.

Sign up to attend! FAFSA expert from Eastern Michigan will answer questions and help BHS students complete the FAFSA. It is recommended that students have FSA IDs created prior to the workshop.

At OSTC-SE, we offer a range of CTE programs that provide students with the technical skills and academic knowledge needed to prepare for future employment and/or a successful transition to post-secondary education. Our rigorous education programs are designed to meet the needs of each student, and our instructors are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

Students will attend OSTC in either the AM or PM Session and will take (3) classes at BHS.

How to Access Varsity Tutors

Med Day is an all-day program on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus dedicated to providing high school students from the Metro Detroit area with immersive, hands-on experiences in medical science. Activities and sessions will be led by university student volunteers who are members of Phi Delta Epsilon, a pre-medical fraternity at UM.

Our aim is to spark interest in the field by introducing students to essential topics they'll encounter in medical studies, connecting them with leaders from diverse backgrounds in healthcare, and discussing the challenges and barriers faced along the journey to a successful medical career. Through workshops, mini lessons, and candid discussions, students will learn about the perseverance required in the field and strategies to overcome obstacles they may encounter. Learn more!

The Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID (or studentaid.gov login) is a username and password that is required to log in and access all Federal Student Aid websites, including the FAFSA. Serves as a legal signature when you submit your FAFSA. Go to studentaid.gov and click “create account” in the upper right hand corner. (do not use your BRK email)

👉 All those contributing to a FAFSA (parent/guardian) must create separate FSA IDs

• Gather the information needed to complete the FAFSA: You’ll need information on income, assets, and demographics. 📝This handy FAFSA checklist can help you organize everything you need.

• Begin the FAFSA, invite your parent as a contributor to the FAFSA. Enter your parent/guardian email, so they can complete their portion of the FAFSA.




• List the colleges, trade schools, that you applied to or are thinking of applying to. You can always log-in later and edit your ranking of schools.




• You and your parent/contributor will need to "sign" your FAFSA with your FSA IDs.

The Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) Mental Health School Navigators are Behavioral Health Professionals that provide outreach and resources to Schools in Oakland County. Their goal is to reduce barriers to mental health services which sometimes includes financial difficulties.

OCHN’s Mental Health School Navigators can provide families with a financial reimbursement resource that provides up to $2000 per household to help cover co-pays and deductibles by a qualified mental health professional, such as for therapy or psychiatry.

These funds are available to any Oakland County student. For more information and to be considered for the reimbursement, complete this form.

BHS students grades 9-12 have been added to the "College + Career Center" course in Schoology. New and 9th grade students will be added during the first week of school.
