As a reminder, all rehearsals and performances for Sounds of the Season are required and will be for a grade. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Ellinger or Ms. Nason.
The dress for these performances is listed below (pulled from the 2024-25 FCHS Curricular Handbook)
Wind Ensemble
Gentleman
Gentleman must wear a black tuxedo
Black Bow Tie
Black Vest OR Cummerbund
Black Dress Shoes
More information will be provided to Wind Ensemble members during class
Ladies
Ladies must wear an ankle-length black dress
A blouse/pants are acceptable. The entire outfit must be black
No accent colors can be present on the clothing
Shoulders must be covered
Black Dress Shoes (moderate heels acceptable)

Feed the Kids - SOS
All students performing in Sounds of the Season will be fed in between the 2 shows on Saturday, December 14th. Band and orchestra are contributing water and some of the desserts. Please use this sign up genius so the food committee can have what they need to feed our hungry kids!

In addition to food donations, volunteers are welcome to come help serve this meal. If you are willing and able, please report to the main cafeteria on Saturday, December 14 at 4:15pm. Many hands are needed to feed these kids quickly for their second show that day!
Side By Side Concert
Wind Symphony is performing in the Side by Side concert, Tuesday December 17 at 7:00. Students will practice before the concert. Tuesday's Schedule:
4:00pm - Practices Begin
6:10pm - Students dismissed to Main Cafetera
6:15pm - Dinner in Main Cafeteria
6:45pm - Dinner Ends/Concert Prep
7:00pm - Concert Start
If you are willing to help serve dinner please contact Lindsey Freeman at concertbandliaison@fcbands.org. Also we need several cases of water for this meal!!
Winter Ensembles
Electric Mayhem & Static Havoc

Static Havoc and Electric Mayhem calendars are up through December. Go to fcchoirs.org, and there are instructions for how to sync the calendar.
Winter Guard
Financial and commitment forms are due now. Please wait to make a payment towards winter guard fees until you receive an invoice.

Percussion Symphony
*Schedule Changes*
There have been a few schedule/calendar adjustments for some upcoming rehearsal days. The band calendar reflects these changes as of 12/9/24.
- Friday 12/20 rehearsal is now 4pm to 7pm
- Saturday 12/21 rehearsal is now 9am to 5pm
- Lunch is at 12pm, please bring lunch or one can be dropped off.
- Students are not allowed to leave the school during lunch break.
- Christmas party will be the last hour of rehearsal
- Friday 1/3 rehearsal is now 9am to 9pm

- Dinner will be provided at 5pm by the Food Committee – sign-up coming soon for dinner donations.
IPA Clinic Day this past Saturday was a success for Franklin Central Percussion. We had 7 percussionists perform solos, with two placing 1st overall! Our 1st place performers were:

FCPS Christmas Party!
FCPS Christmas Party will happen the last hour of rehearsal on Sat. 12/21. Anyone who would like to participate in the white elephant gift exchange should bring a wrapped silly gift ($10 limit) with them. Christmas snacks will be provided by the Spirit Committee.
Registrations and Financial Commitment Forms are due ASAP
- Forms can be handed directly to FC Bands Treasurer George Hewitt or put in the white box in the band room
- Copies of the forms were sent in a parent square message on 12/3.
- Please do not make your first payment until you receive an invoice.

Indoor Percussion/Winter Guard: Please submit your first payment via your invoice. Do not submit payment with your financial agreement/commitment forms.
New BoosterHub Invoice feature: most new invoices will give the option of partial payments.

2025 Dates now available for BEST events. Please note, times have not been provided at this time. If you sign up, be sure to clear your schedule, for that day, so that when times are added there is no conflict. Some of the dates overlap with winter ensemble activities so be sure to check the band calendar for any potential conflicts. Be sure to read the full description on Signup Genius. Reminder for all parents and volunteers! ⭐
Please make sure you have a SafeVisitor background check on file with FTCSC. A cleared background check is required for all of our volunteers (this includes required volunteer shifts at our events and helping with props during competitions). Background Checks are good for 2 years.
