IAMacomb Update

We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful summer!

• School begins on Tuesday, August 13, with a full day from 7:45 AM to 2:35 PM.
• Students can access their schedules on PowerSchool and should report to their 1A class on the first day.
• Please note that bussing will start on September 3. More information about routes will be available soon.
• We have updated our policies and procedures. Staff will review this information with students next week. You will then receive an electronic copy of the student handbook to review and sign with your student.

New WiFi Policy for This Year (in line with CVS):

- Students will not be able to connect personal devices, including cell phones, to the school WiFi.

- Only school-issued laptops will have access to the WiFi.

- Cell phones should not be used during classes unless instructed by a teacher as part of a lesson. Even then, no WiFi will be available on cell phones.

- Cell phones can be used during class exchanges and lunch breaks, but WiFi will not be available during these times.

Both the student and parent orientations were a great success yesterday. This was due to the thorough planning and preparation by Ms. Robinson, Mr. Lambdin, and the entire Link Crew student team. Additionally, Mr. García provided an informative session for the parents.

At this time, the IAM will continue to allow students to only carry clear backpacks. This is in line with the CVHS 10-12 building policy. Of course, like with any policy, this is subject to change. If there any updates to this, we will keep you informed.
