The Wednesday MESSAGE!
Edition #39 May 21, 2025
It's Time for Open House
Open House Art and Art Pick-up
When you come to Open House this Wednesday, May 21 (anytime between 5:30-7pm), please bring a kitchen towel and totebag or shoe box to carry home your children’s ceramics projects.
All Kingergarten – grade 4 students have a clay piece. You carrying it will be much safer than going in a backpack on the bus.
Also check out their other artwork displayed around the school.
- Fifth Grade has their tiles permanently installed across from the nurse’s office. They all also have monochromatic paintings by the art room.
- Fourth Grade has ceramic pinch pot pets on weavings in their classroom and drawings of hands holding notes sharing their advice to the world by the art room.
- Third Grade has bird sculptures in nests in the art room and amazing self portraits in the gym hallway showcases.
- Second Grade has fish sculptures in the art room and figure drawings showing Imaginary Adventures at Recess ( Rm 21- 22 by food line entrance and Rm 23 at bottom of the ramp.)
- First Grade has rosebud sculptures in the art room and shape stories in the first grade hallway by the guidance office.
- Kindergarten has necklaces in the art room and k1 has self portraits by the kdg entrance and K-2 has masterpieces in gym hallway. K-3 has self portraits by the lego wall.
- All students also have artwork to share virtually in the Seesaw app in Classlink. They take photos of their work and add textboxes to explain their learning and creative ideas. This is available through your student’s device any time. Go to Classlink, find Seesaw and touch their name in upper left to get to the Art room Journal.
Ask them to tell you about their work. They are doing amazing things!
If you prefer to pick up your child’s clay project in the office on Thursday May 22, or have other questions, please email Mrs. Leinbach. Thanks!

The HSA invites you to volunteer at Salford Hills this year! The HSA helps coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, social events, school events, etc. As a volunteer, you are welcome to serve as much or as little as you wish. For example, you can volunteer to help during a specific event, lead a committee, help out in your child's classroom and more. There are so many ways to serve Salford Hills and we would love to connect you with opportunities that would be a good fit for you and your family. In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below (you must fill this out each year). There is no commitment by joining the volunteer list. By signing up, you will simply join our list to be notified of events needing volunteers and other opportunities to get involved. Thank you for helping serve our students, families, teachers, and staff at Salford Hills!
