Please join us at Meet the Teacher! Staff will be on hand to help find your child’s classroom and answer any questions you and your child may have. Backpacks and supplies for home will also be available for those who need them. We hope to see you then!

2024-2025 School Supplies

We are collecting contributions for School Supplies for the year. School supply costs are $40 per Kindergarten-4th grade student and $50 per 5th grade student. You can pay with a credit card through the Crest View Website and click on the RevTrak button by cash or check in the main office. More information and details can be found in this letter.

Cooperative School Zone - Drop-off & Pick-up

A few tips to help make drop-off and pick-up smooth and, most importantly, safe. Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe!

Sumac Ave.

• Hug & Go is available on Sumac in front of the school. Parents remain in their car and staff will help your child(ren) in and out of the car. Please continue to pull forward as far as possible to help keep the line moving.

• We highly discourage parking on Sumac or having your child cross the street outside of the crosswalks for safety reasons but also to be respectful of our neighbors.

• No U-turns are allowed in school zones! See the Boulder City Ordinance for more. Carefully pull into traffic and continue west on Sumac after exiting the Hug & Go.

• Cars are not to use the circle drive in front of the school unless you need to utilize the handicapped parking spot.

Parking Lot

• Parents are welcome to park in the parking lot and walk their children to their classrooms.

• Please drive slowly and watch for students darting out from between cars.

• No cars are allowed to drive in the lane closest to the Kindergarten Playground.

• All cars need to exit to the right/west-bound on Sumac Ave. Staff will be stationed at the exit to remind drivers of this.

Upland Ave.

• Currently, the intersection on the west side of Upland and 19th is closed. Please use caution through this area.

• Please watch for pedestrians in the parking area as well as on Upland.

Pedestrians and Bike-riders

• We have several bike racks around the school and are working with ROCV to add even more!

• The circle drive at the front of the school is blocked off from cars so bikes, scooters, etc. can have a safer path to the bike racks at the front of the school.

• Stay alert and do not assume cars know you are there!

As always, please stay off your cell phone while diving, especially in and around school zones.

Volunteering in BVSD

Volunteers and field trip chaperones who volunteer once and are under line-of-sight supervision by BVSD staff at all times only need to go through the front office free Raptor check-in process.

Individuals interested in volunteering and interacting with students on an ongoing basis under line of sight supervision of BVSD staff, complete the appropriate yearly application; ENGLISH or SPANISH. Please note that a $32.00 background fee is due at the time of submission.

For volunteers, partners, or field trip chaperones who will not be under line-of-sight supervision of BVSD staff at all times – CBI fingerprint check is required through a third party vendor (these background checks are now valid for 5 years), paid by the volunteer or partner AND volunteer must sign a BVSD volunteer agreement (Spanish) each year.

No Late Start on Aug. 14

School will begin at 7:50 am on Wednesday, Aug 17th. Late start Wednesdays will begin the following week.

Wednesday Late Start Childcare

Late Start Wednesdays begin August 21. School begins at 8:50 on late start Wednesdays. If you need childcare from 7:50 - 8:50 on these mornings, please complete this form. There is no cost. Please complete a form for each child enrolled at Crest View who will be attending the childcare.

BVSD is Hiring Bus Drivers

BVSD is suffering from a nationwide shortage of bus drivers. If we do not hire enough drivers we will be forced to eliminate some bus routes, leaving some eligible students without a bus to ride. For many of these students, the school bus is the only way to get to school.

You can help! Apply to be a BVSD bus driver! BVSD offers competitive wages ($25.49 - $29.55/hour) and bonuses ($1,000 - $3,500) for new hires, as well as paid CDL training (No experience necessary to be hired). All employees who work 20+ hours a week are eligible for free health and dental insurance. Click here to apply!

BVSD Help Center opens August 8

BVSD is offering a help center for parents needing assistance with enrollment, open enrollment applications, setting-up parent portal accounts in Infinite Campus, and filling out free-and-reduced- lunch forms. The Help Center will be held at the BVSD Education Center (6500 Arapahoe Rd.) August 10-12 and 14-15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The help center is free and open to all, no appointments necessary.

Teacher Meet and Greet - Get a FREE book or 2!

During our Teacher Meet and Greet on Tuesday, August 13 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, find me (Ms. Scotti) in the front of the building (most likely in a shaded area). You can pick out a new book from a great selection of books donated to us from the Boulder Book Store. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Welcome Coffee - Friday, August 23rd @ 7:50 am

Join the ROCV executive team and fellow Crest View parents for a Welcome Coffee in front of the school by the flagpole. This event is open to all families after the students get into class. We hope to see you all there!

Celebrate ROCV Fall Fest on Back to School Night!

Come celebrate the start of school at Crest View's Fall Festival event, on Wednesday, August 28th from 5-7 p.m. at the Crest View playground! Bring a blanket and picnic, or money to visit the food trucks. ROCV will provide beverages, treats, a bike obstacle course, a bouncy obstacle course, Q&A table, face paint, and Crest View spirit gear will be for sale. It's fun for the whole family!
