The Rhodes Ahead
Jan. 17, 2025
From Mrs. Rhodes
Happy 2025!
It has been so good to have 5 full days of school this week. The up and down weather will keep things interesting at school for January for sure.
As we wait in the mornings, I have been asking the students if they planned on watching the inauguration. Might be good to reflect on the significance of inauguration—a moment to celebrate new beginnings, fresh opportunities, and the grace of God guiding our steps.
We already discussed the virtue of patriotism which involves paying due honor and respect to our country. We know that following the Ten Commandments will lead us to be good citizens. We should always pray for our country, as we do at most Masses during the petitions.
Inaugurations remind us of God’s call to serve with humility and love. From Christ’s baptism to the mission of His apostles, we see how every new chapter begins with a heart open to God’s will. How can your family embrace this call in your everyday life?
This might be a good time to review any goals you set after your meeting with Father Zarse.
These events can help us be pilgrims of hope during this jubilee year!!
Strength in Surrender,
Kathy Rhodes
